I dont think the idea of xhekaj-mailloux being a pair should change the development plan for either. Pairings like NHL lines change far too frequently to worry about that -

If all of that is happening? Why did the Habs generate scoring chances for at nearly double the rate vs scoring chances against. He was 66% xG. Meaning that if goaltending was equal for both teams (at league average). The Habs should outscore the Pens 2-1 while hes on the ice. -

They were better this game than against the Isles and they were still bad tonight. Anderson doesn't work there -

Suzuki - caufield -andersson.... xg numbers in the toilet through two games together Slaf - monahan - armia...xG through the roof. Now i get moving slaf, we needed a second line. So keep that together. That said, Anderson cannot play with Suzuki and Caufield. Ive seen it enough for 3 years to know he doesnt work on that line.... try RHP, Ylonen, Pearson or literally anyone else. -

It wasnt you saying he was having a shit game. We want to discuss his place with all the defencemen in the system. Sure thats a good, honest debate on the subject. When someone says Harris is having a shit game and that isnt consistent with my eye test or the numbers, it's just showing bias. -

At the last update (4 minutes to go in the third) Harris and Kovacevic were the best two players (not defencemen, players) on the team tonight at 66% xGF. But Harris stinks? Is the odd man out? What games are you all watching? -

If he leaves in the near future, i could see him playing with MacKinnon in Colorado. I doubt he leaves though -
When that one dimension is scoring goals and this team needs another game breaker, I'm fine with it. I mean look at how much Cole Caufield's game has rounded out this year.

Iginla doesnt belong in the group. Hes closer to 15-20. Eiserman Lindstrom Helenius Catton Is how id rank it

Of course. I was just saying of all the players who can be mad at gallaghers lack of discipline, hes not at the head of the line. He needs to be disciplined too. -

I agree on small sample but you'd think he would be extra careful after just being called up, and MSL is commenting on it. -

Yeah sending him to the minors saves just over a million in cap hit. When you add in a league minimum (or slightly more) call up as a replacement, the savings is a few hundred grand at best. And if your replacement is over a million it becomes virtually nothing saved. -

The contract just doesnt make buyout feasible. You dont want to double the length remaining, not now anyway. Pay it now, in years you arent competing and then see if you buy it out or trade it with fewer years remaining, but hes here next season too as the value of eating a year is worth more than stretching it out to double the length into years we want to compete. -

Ernst and Young supervises business accounts worth way more than the NHL makes in a year. The reason they do so much business is an impeccable reputation in the financial industry. Rigging a draft lottery that they put their name on damages that reputation. No one wants to do financial business with a company that does fraud for bribes. Quite simply the NHL couldnt afford what it would cost to get a bribe to fix this. The league also.releases full video of the lottery after its over. Quite simply, these tinfoil hat conspiracies of rigging the lottery are complete and utter B.S. -

Gallaghers penalty was dirty, inexcusable and he deserves a suspension. Id even consider stripping his A for a bit as punishment when he comes back, a leader can't do that. That said, while hes still overpaid Gallagher has been better overall this season than last. On Xhekaj, In two games since being back he has taken 3 minors. St. Louis was asked about this in his presser last night and he wasnt happy with that either. He cant be taking minors every game. -
I think that the comment was more about Brett Hull, not Bobby. That said i have no respect for Bobby as he had more than some issues.

Gallagher owes Monahan, Caufield, Andersson and Montembault a steak dinner and a night at Chez Paree for saving his ass. -

Horrible play by gallagher. Dirty as shit and takes a match penalty upn2 goals with 8 minute left. Just dumb all around. -
Yup every beer league has guys with toughness, grit, heart, and work ethic... but who lacked the skating and skill to even make junior hockey
-
Agreed completely.... Messier is third all time in NHL points (1887). He won a Hart Trophy. The guy had skating and skill too. Lots of it. The argument that he didnt must be from someone who didnt watch 80s and early 90s hockey. There is a reason he was the best player on 2 of his 6 cup winning teams. 2 wins without Gretzky.
-
I never said it was useless. I said you cant have it without other attributes. Perry didnt win a Rocket Richard Trophy and come second in Hart race without Skill. Lucic had a good shot. And Rielly didnt win that conn smythe without scoring points and also having the skating and smarts to keep up with other teams top players. All three things you put as your least three important attributes.
