  1. PP still would better than what we've run most of this season.
  2. Armia has been part of the PP all year though, at least when healthy well that pp looked good anyway
  3. Why is Armia on the first PP unit?O career PP goals and 8 career assists in 251 minutes of PP time in his career
  4. Highly doubt they would move Darnell Nurse. He's emerging as a stud this year. Has no help on that blueline, but he's been their best D. There were rumours previously (last summer) that the Oilers might move Klefbom, I have no idea what their new GM will think of such a move (and he's injured right now anyways). I'd try to get Caleb Jones if they are trading prospects.
  5. Things have certainly changed in Edmonton, which under Chiarelli were rumoured to make short term moves to make the playoffs and try to save his job. Now that he's gone, I'm not sure what the instructions from above are. That said they are over the cap and need cap space right now just to activate Andrej Sekera off IR, never mind the space they would need for any trades if they still want to push for a playoff spot. This is why they would need to dump Talbot. I also didn't say Talbot + Puljujarvi, if i suggested anyone here from the Oilers it was Caleb Jones.
  6. They changed the goal to Tristan Langen, Brook still had the assist though. He adds another in OT and finishes with 2a Fonstad finishes with 1g 1a
  7. Chiarelli also made some questionable moves in Boston, such as the Seguin Trade, the Blake Wheeler trade, Tomas Kaberle, and others. However he got lucky with the Kessel trade and he had a good staff behind him os they were able to succeed in spite of him
  8. Corsica.hockey has that. Lehknonen has 18 primary points.... So he has 8 goals, 10 primary assists, and 6 secondary assists for 24 points in 50 games this year He is 1.81 P1/60, and 2.42 P/60, which are both strong numbers. He is also 55% xGF and +2.37 relative xGF, showing he's a positive contributor.
  9. Lehkonen is fine on the third line. He can provide 15 goals (as he's done in the past) and 35 points (as he's on pace for now) while also being one of the team's best defensive forwards and a key penalty killer. That's fine for his role and its more valuable than the small increase in points bjorkstrand might get (which is not even guaranteed to happen, thus far in his career he's been worse than lehkonen offensively) and bjorkstrand will no doubt, be worse defensively. While you need some offence from the third line, you also need them to be able to play against other teams strong players (especially when you don't have last change on the road) and to kill penalties. 35 points without a lot of power play time is more than acceptable for his offensive game. (He has 24 points in 50 games now, a 39 point pace over 82 games). The Habs have Gallagher, Armia, Lehkonen, and Shaw on the right side. The issue isn't getting a 3rd line winger. The issue is getting a top 6 guy who can play on the powerplay. If you want to trade one of them as part of a package to get a top 6 guy, Bergevin might consider that. If you want to trade Lehkonen in a lateral move for a guy with 3rd line offence and less defensive game, I cant see him doing that and I can't see Julien encouraging it either. As for that top 6 RW, they might just be waiting for Suzuki to grow into that role.
  10. Never said that he was Doesn't change the fact the Habs aren't trading him for someone who is almost the same age and could become a third liner
  11. Given the way Julien and Bergevin both love Lehkonen's two way game, I highly doubt they move him for a guy they hope will grow into a good 3rd line RW If they did it as part of a package for a top line guy, and someone who is more of a sure thing they might look at it But not for someone who you assess as "could still grow into a good 3rd line RW and push Armia to the 4th line." Lehkonen is already a third liner with some offence and very good penalty killing and defensive ability
  12. No one is giving up 4th or 5th round picks for failed prospects like Shinkaruk or Audette. Shinkaruk cleared waivers earlier in the year Olofsson is injured and hasn't even played for the team. He also cleared waivers earlier but I bet the Habs kinda want to get a look at him and what they got Schlemko also cleared waivers and his contract extends into next season, No one is taking him without the Habs retaining salary or taking back a bad contract Quite simply this suggestion is unrealistic and does not happen in the NHL Morin is injured and has missed all season. He would have made the Flyers if not for the injury. I don't see why anaheim wants a defenceman like Juulsen. They can't get all of their defencemen in their lineup now. Florida is a seller, they aren't trading prospects As for St. Louis, why would they want Alzner? Adding Alzner to Juulsen is still not enough to get a top 4 defenceman, In fact it makes your offer worse On top of all that, Juulsen is out with a concussion right now. Who is trading for him while injured?
  13. I dont see lindholm, oel or theodore available. All three seem to be untouchable to their respective franchises.
  14. We certainly have the cap space if Edmonton is willing to sweeten the pot here. I'd like Caleb Jones
  15. I'll take Cam Talbot or Tobias Rieder plus a 2nd rounder for Antoine Waked or something like that.
  16. They also played one more round on the first cup run. They were rookies who got hot during that playoff run. No doubt about that. The point is having a team that is three lines deep which gives the opportunity for someone to go on a hot streak (ala cammalleri or eller or bourque as seen on our team... or krejci in boston... or the marchessault, karlsson line in vegas... or whoever it is.) With three lines that are 1, 2a, and 2b... you have nine talented players and hope that one of those lines is hot at the right time of year
  17. We have two seconds. Columbus and our own. Also mason was a full season. Most of these are just a few months cap dump... though frolik is 1 year plus a few months.
  18. Hes injured still. They say its a neck injury but some have speculated its also a concussion. So he probably wasnt cleared for it.
  19. All 8 names were potential cap dumps. I didnt name any players that i actually want. It was talbot or rieder
  20. Arizona is building. Why are they giving up Joseph? Even if they do, he's not going to be cheap. I wanted to target teams who didn't necessarily have room for those players to crack their lineup and could make moves to help themselves on the wings to help them right away. Those teams also wouldn't need Juulsen, cause the whole issue is that they don't have room for younger defencemen, which is why i looked at their younger D.
