Thanks Remember this isnt necessarily who I want, but who I predict we'll take. I admit I've never even seen Jankowski, so I have no idea how good he is, but I gave reasons why the organization will like him IMO
-
I would too, but Forsberg feels like a Timmins pick

Canadiens announce player development Camp

I wasn't at camp, so I can't comment about what was seen there. But I have never seen poor backwards skating out of Beaulieu in game situations. It seems a strength to me. -
DAMNIT Jackman just signed a 3 year deal in St. Louis.

The fourth part of my mock draft is up, I included a few picks in the 3rd round to get 2 habs picks in this edition #51 and #64. http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/06/18/nhl-mock-draft-part-4-picks-49-65/

Welcome to mid-June... where scouts always say "this draft isnt good, next year's is great" year after year. At least thats what they always say publically
-
The Dutch D looked weak in all three games IMO.

Essentially Montreal must own their own pick to give to the Isles in the 5th round, if they don't own their own pick, they must give the Isles a 2013 4th round pick. Their own pick was traded to Calgary. So we keep the 5th and give up the 2013 pick.

Who will it be, the assistant coaching edition

Well he worked with both McDonagh and Del Zotto in Connecticut. -
Its not just points though, Kelly is quite simply a better hockey player than Moen IMO, and he also is a centre, a position that gets paid more than Wingers (all else being equal).

The rumor mill seems to have JJ Daigneault who is an assistant with the Rangers AHL team. -

Most teams don't let you talk to their staff unless you are offering a promotion. We wouldn't be offering Robinson a promotion. -

two 2nd rounders plus a 3rd rounder is pretty good value.

Matt Moulson is the LW on that line Why do people still keep thinking he wants the job. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/15/larry-robinson-definitely-does-not-want-the-canadiens-job/ "Devils assistant coach and 2000 Cup-winning head coach Larry Robinson vehemently ripped a report suggesting he is interested in joining the new Montreal regime, saying that comments attributed to an agent, whom he called a friend, were five years old and that there has been no such contact or interest." -

Exactly. plus you don't bring up two rookies and play them together in the NHL. Eventual Tinordi - Subban Beaulieu - Gorges Pairings work much better. -
I say, sorry, I'd rather let the winner of a training camp battle between Louis Leblanc, Aaron Palushaj, Blake Geoffrion, Brendan Gallagher, Patrick Holland take that spot.
-
With those losses they should forfeit 29th overall because their next natural picks could be a lot higher The risk here is greater than the reward, a really low draft pick who wont likely make any NHL impact for those next two years anyway
-
One week to go until draft day, we put out a 2 for 1 special Brian Hart, a power forward with an honourable mention. http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/06/15/nhl-draft-prospect-profile-hm2-brian-hart/

No just no I loved Kovy, but his last three years split between Ottawa, Pitt and the KHL tell me he's finished

The quickness of this makes me wonder if it was a decision to fire Pearn, or if Pearn asked for the release to look for a coaching job? Parenteau is an intriguing option, but can he play LW?
