Drouin leaves his AHL team, suspended indefinitely
Commandant replied to Commandant's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Exactly, he's a twenty year old immature kid. Go to any college campus in this country and randomly throw a rock, chances are you'll hit a 20 year old immature kid. -
Why are Markov and Subban still paired? Another situation where its on the GM.... Beaulieu isn't playing well (and may have some kind of injury as he left last game early). The fact we have no one on LD is another problem the GM must fix. 2 Top 6 forwards 1 Top 4 LHD at minimum need to be acquired to make this team a contender. Thats the realization that has moved me from the "lets get one scorer and we can make a playoff run" group, to the "trade markov, weise, flash, gilbert; shut down price for the year, and tank" line of thinking. Get one of your top 6 forwards or top 4 D via the draft. Fill the other two spots in free agency. Hope Beaulieu and Galchenyuk take another step forward. If they don't we'll have two more holes.

Cedric Paquette is no defensive stalwart. -

Tinordi was a shit player who never looked good in the ice time he was given. Drouin has looked great in the icetime given, and still gets stapled to the bench. Damn right the agent's job is to get involved when his player is producing and the team does nothing with him. Damn right the agent should be involved when the team sends the player to the AHL when Cedric Paquette is getting third line icetime ahead of him. If everything else was exactly the same and the agent's name was Joe Smith instead of Allan Walsh, i doubt you'd be complaining as vociferously. -
Andrighetto scores a bit of a weird one 4-2. Dumont with the assist.
-
I wonder how much Blatt being unable to properly use Kevin Love for two years plays into this.
-
Johnston gets an assist on Hudon's goal. 3 straight games with an assist.... 3 assists in 4 games overall since his injury.
-
nice to see Scherbak score. Lets see him get it going.
-
Its debateable which one of those two is the top line.... Hudon and Ghetto are on the "second line"
-
Well its 3 losses to the big 2 in the west in less than a month, and none of those games they've been particularly competitive in. I don't think Lue is really an upgrade either, but I can see the argument that you have to prove to be able to beat those teams cause 1 of the 2 will likely be representing the West in the NBA final.

They did get smoked by Golden state and San Antonio in recent weeks. The Cavs are clearly the best team in the East, but being the best in the east is not good enough for that team. They have to win it all.

Book It: No Playoffs for Habs in 2016

Dos you think i was serious? -
I think it will all be moot. I doubt he's still on Tampa after the deadline at the absolute latest.

He's getting 1/12th of what he'd make in the NHL in the AHL. Also he is a mere two games on a roster (even on IR) out of accumulating a year towards free ageny. Basically for every 2 weeks he sits out, its worth it if he just is traded 1 day earlier cause he's causing a distraction. Also in 1.5 years he'd be able to sign with a KHL, SHL, Swiss team.... etc.... he wouldn't work at

Bartley was apparently injured last night (left the game in the 2nd period). -
He and his agent both know that Yzerman isn't going to let his value die on the vine for 5 years.
-
Markov was probably partying at Galchenyuk's house too. Seriously though, i hate those rumor mongering sites. Leave the players personal lives alone.

Gary Bettman promised us to fix the lottery if we fixed the all-star game situation. Auston Matthews here we come. -

Tampa doesn't play top 6/bottom 6. They look for offence out of their third line. -

IF what we were told is true, the lightning told him he was only going to the minors to get in game shape and would be recalled immediately thereafter. When he was sent down, yzerman and drouin both told the media it was essentially a conditioning stint. Then the trade request went public. Now they are refusing to call him up again. Lets be honest here... this being sent to the AHL IS NOT about Drouin's development of his defensive game, its a punishment for a kid who had the gall to request a trade. -
Holloway is apparently hurt. Day to day.

Hes a guy who outperformed everyone on the team as a 19 year old, scoring more p/60 than any player. His reward... fourth line minutes in the regular season and press box in the playoffs. He came in.. had some points early this year. Soon found himself again playing fourth line minutes with scrubs. He got hurt and was told he was going to the ahl so he could get in shape and would be called back up. Played 7 games. No call up in sight. He makes $396 a day in the ahl, over $5000 a day in the nhl, plus bonuses. He says this. Ive earned my spot. I am clearly better than guys like massechault, paquette, and the rest of these guys. Put me in the nhl or trade me. The lightning still refuse. He says fine. Screw you, i want a deal.

He's only been outshone by those guys cause they get more minutes In terms of pts/60... not one player on tampa was better than drouin last year, not one... not stamkos, not johnson, no one. So with that in mind, it seems a silly coaching decision to staple him to the bench and to the AHL. Every time you play him he produces. -

how much better do you have to play than leading your entire team in p/60.
