Personally I think that we need to play Markov at least 20 games. A player like Gionta, sure shut him down. But Markov needs to play. We quite simply can't go into July 1st with a 5.75 million dollar question mark of will he or won't he be able to play on our defence next season. Its far too limiting on the moves that need to be made.

A guy who is calling out the coaching staff doesn't say that he wants the team to play like it did in the 2010 playoffs though. I really just think this is a frustrated guy who is being villified for showing a little emotion.

I don't see it as either of those things. I don't see that as calling out anyone individually... Merely stating that the team needs to start playing with the confidence they had in 2010 playoffs. I think this is yet another example of reporters making mountains out of molehills in Montreal.

The fake one copies what other reporters say and tweet it right after them, in order to report some real news. First thing I noted when this "trade" was being reported, it was coming from all regular fans on my timeline, it wasn't coming from a guy like McKenzie or Dreger, or any of the Habs newspaper guys, or any of the RDS people. I don't think it came from the Habs organization.

What the full comments miss is that this is an interview. You merely have the answers so it reads like a rant, and like first he says "I need more ice time" and then immediately starts in on, "We're a bunch of losers".... But thats not how things go in these situations. Cammalleri isn't doing a rant... this isn't a soliloquy, this is an interview. Question Cammy what happened on those two goals you were on the ice for? - answer about messing up his coverage, not feeling he's in the game, used to more ice time..... Few other questions go by Cammy why is the team struggling - we're playing like losers. Written the way it is in LaPresse, with the questions removed and commentary in between by Gagnon its an indictment of the organization.. Written by Basu on NHL.com it reads a heck of a lot differently. And I bet if we had the actual reporters tape, it would be even more different. I hate this type of journalism, its B.S. and its exactly what Fox News does... they report the story, but cut it in such a way and report it in such a way that player can't claim its false, but the reporter is also the one telling the narrative. On our other Russians. I still think Korneev is a good player we drafted as well. However he's another player in the Diaz mould, small RH Puckmoving offensive D, and has shown no willingness to come over, so highly doubtful we go after him. Maxim Trunev seems to struggle to get ice time in Russia, so he might be a possibility, if they still like him.

Looking around the internet.... Partial tears 2-3 months Full tears 6-9 months for a bicep tear. I think this pretty much makes us a seller.

It was said tongue in cheek based on our drafting history. That said,, if healthy Galenchyuk was a great player last year, so if we draft him, i love the talent, just worry about health. Grigorenko will go top 2. Mark my words he will not be around at number 3. Grigo is better than Galchenyuk. I've seen Gaunce, and I love him as the Habs potential pick. If we are picking 5 or later, he'd be who I want. I hope if we are in the spot that Murray or Dumba or another D is gonna go, we trade down just a little and get more picks. We need to get a centre.

Media is spinning this interview like crazy though too. If Josh Gorges gives the exact same interview the story is told that "gorges steps up, calls out his teammates, wants the team to play with more confidence and stop the loser mentality. What a leader." Cammy says it and it becomes "Cammy criticizes teammates, calls them losers, wants to be traded. Selfish player, not a leader." Such bullshit.

Not in a league where "sloppy seconds" gets six games and a ticket to anger management/sensitivity training classes.

Its not a hip check, because in a hip check you hit a guy with your hip. Marchand hits him with his shoulder and flips Salo over the top. With a hip check he doesn't have the same leverage as he got here which was going low with his shoulder. Marchand also went lower. Sure both involve bending at the waist... but there is a difference between what you can do, when you flip a player over your hip and ass, and when you lead with your shoulder into his knees.

Galchenyuk was ranked 5th by McKenzie prior to the season. That was before he stunk at the Hlinka tournament, and before he blew out his knee in preseason. He basically hasn't played all year as he's been hurt. He's also not exactly big... 6'1 185 lbs. He's not small, but he's not the "big centre" you make him out to be. He plays a speed game, he's not small, and Brendan Gaunce may only be 1 inch taller, but he's got 30lbs more on his frame and he's far closer to playing a big man's game than Galchenyuk is. If the Habs picked today they'd have the 7th pick. I think based on his injury, and the play of some of the other high ranking players, there is a very, very good shot he's still on the board when the Habs pick. I dont' mind him, but the knee thing scares me.... I'd much rather try and get the top 2 pick and get Grigorenko.

Again, yes with research into other cultures, a remark might be racist. but thats the thing.... CONTEXT is key. Who you are talking to is key. If Barch says this about Travis Moen, its not racist... but he didn't... he directed it at Subban. Yes, however his Russian team would have to allow it first. If his team says no, then it can't happen. He's also been over in Russia long enough that he is a UFA, we no longer own his RFA rights. Also if he signs now, he'd have to clear waivers before he could play this season. Best thing would be to wait til the offseason.

You are also talking about games when 7D have been dressed. I don't think that will last forever. One of these D will probably be gone; sooner or later. And as Gomez-White get healthy, I think we'll see more of 12 fwds. This will mean Gill and Kaberle will both rise back above 16 minutes, maybe higher. I think right now you've got a situation where they need Emelin and Diaz in the lineup to continue learning, but they also don't want to sit one of Gill or Campoli and kill their trade value, so they are playing 7 guys to showcase the UFAs and play the kids at the same time. This means every D man is gonna get a few less minutes, except the top pair.

Kaberle is averaging 18:24 per game. Not sure where you get less than 10 minutes per game from.
