  1. And considering Emelin is injured, gotta love having the depth that affords the team that luxury.
  2. Third Cali game the charm? I think the Habs will be eager to prove that they can play and win against big western teams. Personally, I want this one more than usual.
  3. Its good to see Eller shooting more lately He got rocked a couple times early
  4. not sure what Gilbert was doing on that goal
  5. I would bump Weiss down to the fourth line and sit Mitchell. We have an abundance of players in the bottom 6 and at this point its just injury insurance and internal competition motivation. PAP is the most logical solution and maybe the only solution to increase our offensive potency so you might as well give him the chance to succeed. However if he can't bring any offence then there is no point playing him. The point that I was trying to get at is if he's going to be in the line up, play him in the top 6 with offensive linemates and if you don't want to play him there don't play him at all. Looks like the latter is what MT is going with tonight.
  6. I sure don't want to play Tampa, They would be so hungry after what happened last year.
  7. Id do the same. It is little concerning to think he may be out of shape at this point in the season, no excuse.
  8. When we acquired DSP there was a lot of talk about how good his skating was, I definitely expected him to be faster.
  9. If we are going to get anything from PAP it would probably be best to give a decent run of games. After all he did just come back from a concussion so I think it would be somewhat unfair to sit him already. On the other hand if you think management and the coach have given up on him completely, would it not have been fairly easy to ship him out for a 7th rounder and save some cap space for next year? Personally I think that PAP can contribute, BUT he is one of those players that needs to play with good players to be successful. I know that it is not ideal, but that is the reality of the player. He is not overly fast or overly strong so he is going to have a hard time beating guys one on one and creating his own time and space. However he does have some skill with the puck, both passing and shooting. If he can play with linemates that will beat guys one on one and stress the defensive coverage I think he could complement them and find himself open for some good looks.
  10. I'm loving the positivism. The Habs have been really bad for stretches but really strong for others. The score is not exactly indicative of the game. Habs have also had no luck but at the same time there are no excuses.
  11. Its obviously a super small sample size but so far he looks like and upgraded Gilbert clone to me.
  12. Habs have been pretty terrible tonight but they sure aren't getting any puck luck.
  13. Pettry showing off the wheels yup
  14. The sequence leading to the third goal was brutal
  15. I havent watched all the games lately but I saw some good things from him in the first.
  16. SJ dominated the first 10 minutes but before the 2 kinda unlucky penalties Mtl was coming on stronger. Its only a 2 goal game and the next goal is going to be big.
  17. Sharks are playing desperation hockey. They need these points and they know it. I'd say they're a better team than their spot in the standings indicates.
  18. DLR is BIG, imagine the strength when he grows into his body. Its crazy to think he played in the world jr. tournament this year.
  19. DSP might not have as much skill as Sekac but it looks like he has more than Prust or Weise. Last goal of the vid is a beauty. This trade really does fill an organizational need. Apart from Prust and Weise who else on the Canadiens is physical on the forecheck? And from what I've seen Weise has become less physical since his time on the top line. The physical toll is starting to affect Prust who hopefully is saving some for the playoffs. The Canadiens are not nearly hard enough to play against. I hoping that DSP will be a bigger stronger version of Brendan Gallagher, lost of goals in front of the net and ruffling some feathers down low! DSP is averaging almost 3 hits per game.
