  1. I'll apologize when you get some french lessons, and have some idea of what your talking about
  2. Should have dressed 7 defensman and dropped Ivanans
  3. Thanks Simonus Since RDS is a private channel I have no problem with them being biased towards a certain team. My tax dollars are not supporting them, and I have the right not too support them, unlike the CBC.
  4. The only way to try and trade Dagenais is to let him play and if/when he gets hot, and scores a bunch of goals, dump him. Unfortunatley playing him is required there. I'd rather have Plekanac, Higgins, Perezhogin or even Ivanans in the lineup. If I were Gainey, I'd send Dagenais to Hamilton. If he gets claimed off waivers, so much the better
  5. Well I have no access to RDS so I cannot comment on that. But I have question. Is RDS publicly funded?
  6. Hey Mark Napier, you should be drawing conclusions from a conversation you don't even understand. How do you know that a reported didn't ask a certain question a certain way, or that Ribeiro was saying something about Pierre Gervais or Pierre Ouellete than what your assuming? Unless you have some actual fact or can understand whats being said, you probably shouldn't be passing rumours or trying to start shit. There seems to be enough of that going on.
  7. Oh come on...your going to stop at Don Cherry? Bob Cole and Harry Neale are just as bad. Their commentating is so biased it makes me sick. But what else do you expect when for the majority of Ontario, you only get the Leaf broadcast? The entired CBC is a joke and for more reasons than just hockey, but since most of us have no other option on a Saturday night, we have no other choice.
  8. Geeze for some reason the forum seems more positive today, wonder why that is? Unfortunatley for Yann Danis, I think he'll eventually find his way out of Montreal with their depth of Goaltending. Between Theodores 3 year contract, and Carey Price in the minors, Danis is going ot have a hard time finding steady employment in Montreal. Will probably be demoted when and if Huet comes back. But I hope like Garon, he plays welll and Montreal can deal him to another team for a different asset and he gets a chance somewhere else.
  9. IT seems a number of Habs have been lazy defensively, and I'm sure Julien will be working on that in practice today. I expect in Toronto on Saturnday night to see far different games from Ribeiro, Ryder, and Souray, and wouldn't be surprised if Dagnenais wasn't dressed. If he is and plays poorly again, then Julien will probably make a move. But from watching other games and seeing highlights it looks like most other teams are struggling a bit defensively as well, so maybe everyone just has to get used to the new rule. It just goes to show you how much clutching and grabbing was part of the game. Except for the rash of penalties because players are being conditioned not to clutch and grab, I think the on ice product if far better. Do any of you really think both of Ryders goals, and Higgins goals would have happened last night? No, they'd have been mugged before they even saw the puck. And Perezhogins goal would have been called on the two line pass. Far better NHL
  10. There are too many forwards on this team and somebody has to go. I'd take my chances with Higgins, Plekanac and Perezhogin over Dagenais. THey all skate better, play better defense and have more upside than Dagenais. I'd like to say trade Dagenais, but what do you get for a guy that has no goals and about 5 penalties in 2 games? Especially when you got shit for Hossa who has 2 goals in two game? I know its way too early to worry about it, but Souray has looked terrible out there. If he doesn't shape up in a few weeks, maybe Montreal might have to look at making a move. But on the whole, I am extremely happy and excitied about the season so far and GO HABS GO

    souray

Those composite sticks are shit, if he broke a wooden one like that I'd be impressed

    souray

He looks awfull tonight as well.
  13. Please don't compare Pierre Dagenais to Brett Hull. Brett Hull has scored over 740 NHL goals. Comparing the two is insulting to Brett Hull

    Zednik

    THanks alot. Much appreciated

    Zednik

Somebody said Richard Zednik was injured? I couldn't watch the game. Does anybody have any idea what happened? Did he return to the game? Is he expected to miss any time? I haven't been able to find anything out Please pass along any info Thanks
  16. Nice to see Ryder hasn't lost his touch. Too bad there wasn't more scoring, but I'd like to think that Theodore and Raycroft played well. Look like Pierre Dagenais took way too many penalties. And I see Hossa has a goal for New York...geeze who would I rather have? Anyways a good way to start the year. [Edited on 2005/10/6 by kaos]
  17. When you sign a player like Chris Pronger you immediatley get better. Peca was a nice addition as well. Of all the other teams, I've always enjoyed watching Edmonton, and I wish them well. Even in the era of the trap, they always had a fast exciting team.
  18. More like thank god you don't live in Port Colborne.
  19. Wow, I'm quite suprise that Lavalee and Tardiff didn't make the team. I was quite impressed with them. But I guess they have to make room for the Edmonton guys as well. I hear Syvret is coming to Hamilton. Can't wait to see him play some more. I was extremely impressed with him in London, and can't believe he dropped as far as he did! Must be his size
  20. Guess you can remove Guillaume Latendresse from those lists
  21. The writing was on the wall when they signed Thibault. Besides the kid is only 20 years old. It boggles my mind when kids don't succeed at 18, 19, 20 years old, and people start calling them busts. I just don't understand that?
  22. I went to this game last night, and came away fairly impressed with a number of the Hamilton Bulldog players, although I'm not sure Cleveland had their best players in the lineup. They looked rather shaky. A few players stood out. Corey Locke and Andrei Kostitsyn looked very good, Kostitsyn had two goals. Locke looked like he put on some weight and even looked a bit quicker than he did last year, so he definitly has been working on the things he needs to work on. He also made a few beauty passes that his linemates couldn't handle. Oliver Michaud looked pretty good in the first two periods giving up only 1 goal. Then he gave up 3 in the final period, 2 which looked kinda suspect, but was hard to tell as I was in the opposite end of the rink down by the glass. He also came up with a few big saves when Cleveland was pressing in the last 7 or 8 minutes, to maintain a 2 goal advantage before Michael Lambert put the game away with an empty netter. I also came away very impressed with Kevin Lavallee. He looked very good at both ends of the ice. I hope good things happen for this kid, and he gets better Another kid I was impressed with was Jamie Tardiff. Hes a local kid, who was drafted by Calgary, never signed, went back into the draft and then never drafted. He looked very good. Was all over the ice hitting people and contributed with a goal and an assist. He has good size at 6 ft 210lbs, and decent wheels. COuld be a decent pickup. James Sanford looked pretty good on defense as did Andrew Archer. Corey Urqhart, Jonathan Ferland, Duncan Milroy (missed penalty shot) didn't really do much to standout, but also didn't get alot of icetime. Well Duncan did get a fair amount, but his stock seems to be dropping. Anyways, it was an impressive win by the Bulldogs, but again I'm not sure how good Cleveland really was. They didn't play well, took alot of penalties, and I recognized no one on their roster. GO DOGS
  23. Wow, I don't feel good about this at all. This is gonna look real bad if Josef Balej and Marcel Hossa light it up with the Rangers. I can't believe they didn't get a draft pick as well...I just have this bad feeling that this was Marcels year...I soooo hope that I am wrong..... On the other hand, Guillaume Latendresse just made the team, I guess Bob Gainey believes in Guillaume IN GUILLAUME WE TRUST!!!!!!!!!! [Edited on 2005/9/30 by kaos]
