Fleischman/DD/Weise are why MTL is doing so well. Patches/Plex/Gally have been steady performers for years (No knock on DD), but both lines are producing at first line rates right now. This team is damn interesting to watch! Now all we need is to figure out Chucky's RWer. Wayne Simmonds could use a change of scenery

So, this team either has two prices, or people (outside of us) should really start to see that the Habs aren't all Carey Price. I think that besides the fact that Carey is the best goalie in the league, something about the team is good for the goalie. Condons performance is proving that. Shots from low scoring areas? I don't know. Either way, we're a force.

Just dawned on me how awesome it is to have a goal scorer like Pacioretty on the team. We went year and years without a 30 goal-scorer. Now we have a guy who is guaranteed 30, and will push for 40 every year. It's a good time to be a Habs fan!

Good points here. I agree the swap is really the only possibility, as he wasn't picked up for free. I'm happy with Tokarski with the caps too, I'm just sure he isn't right now. His size probably is his main challenge, and he also doesn't play the puck as the tabs are used to. That's where Condon (In the early going) seems like a Price Jr. with decent puck playing and size

Now, it's very early in the AHL season, and we clearly need an established starter in the AHL (Tokarski is clearly capable), but his recent demotion from the NHL actually has me feeling a little bad for him. I'd imagine he's unhappy not being up with the Habs, and he hasn't started the season particularly well. Fucale on the other hand, is likely quite happy learning one step at a time as a first year pro, and has been posting great numbers early on. Now, i'm not saying I want this, but I feel like a trade would be best for Tokarski's career, simply because a fresh start at this point would do him good. It's great to have a capable goaltender in the AHL, but as of right now it seems like he's trending down. Maybe it's too early to say. I'm also not suggesting a trade is even likely, the point of this thread was to see what you guys thought about Tokarski's future with the organization. Will he stick in the AHL? (Condon had a great game 1). Will his shaky confidence force more Fucale starts?
