picking up downey is a good move if bg thought vandemeer was the guy he would be here. downey has an attitude. he may not win all his fights but he has never backed down that I have ever heard of. last time we played them pretty tough. they got the game winner with 1:50 or so left in the game. they also got an empty netter with 2/10 of a second left. Apparently Steve was a free agent in Nov 2005 and signed by Wayne and the boys. It kind of makes me wonder why Bob would not have signed him? I do believe he drafted him when he was in Dallas.
