  1. Weber is their captain, I think they'll be moving some other pieces to ensure they keep him. Even still, his cost would be much, much greater than the other options out there.
  2. Just over $4 mil per year for 2, yep. Regehr does have a full NMC though. He is one of the players I wouldn't mind bringing in that is under contract beyond this season. Given that cap hit though, I'd love for a deal to come later in the season.
  3. New, hopefully correct lines in for Colorado. Hejduk now doubtful for this one as well as McLeod...plus the whole other rash of injuries they have, yeesh.
  4. I'm obviously not a Leaf fan but even I thought Dempsey was underutilized at times...mind you I was about 14 at the time and didn't follow things anywhere near as closely as I do now.
  5. He's the only regular that seems to be missing when checking the gamesheets for each game, must have been. That would explain why both Petruic and Urquhart are in the lineup. :puke: (Edit: He's out for a month or so, apparently.)
  6. I haven't caught the last couple of games, I'm guessing Mathieu Carle is injured? Noticed he hasn't played since the last home game.
  7. The Bulldogs (18-8-4) continue their 3-in-3 roadtrip as they travel to San Antonio (21-8-1) to take on the Rampage, the top team in the Western Conferenc. Scoring leaders: Goals: Max Pacioretty (NWT) (17) (Weber is T-2nd in goals and he's gone too...) Assists: David Desharnais (27) Points: David Desharnais (35) PIMS: Jimmy Bonneau (69) +/-: David Desharnais (+11) Scoring leaders: Goals: Brett MacLean (14) Assists: Boedker/Stafford (17) Points: Brett MacLean (29) PIMS: Eric Neilson (41) (Guess he caught on somewhere after all...) +/-: Chris Summers (+12) Puck drop is at 5:30 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/

  9. .500 on the road is the barometer for good teams so that's where it should be here - 7 is normal, 6 points would be adequate, anything below disappointing. Looking at who the opposition is, 7 points isn't unrealistic either.
  10. Hamilton trails 1-0 after 2...where did the offence go?
  11. I don't think there's too much legitimacy to the site I'm about to link to but it poses an interesting name in Niklas Hagman. http://www.gohockeygo.com/site/?p=462 Not sure he'd fit beyond this year though and I do believe he's signed for one more season at 3.5 mil.
  12. The Bulldogs (17-8-4) continue their 3-in-3 roadtrip as they travel to Texas (17-11-2) for the first time since the Stars eliminated them in their postseason run last season. Unfortunately, it's a late start which means I'm going to be compiling stats for the HW Recap near 11 PM. (Or edit the stats from tonight in tomorrow...) Scoring leaders: Goals: Max Pacioretty (NWT) (17) (Weber is T-2nd in goals and he's gone too...) Assists: David Desharnais (26) Points: David Desharnais (34) PIMS: Jimmy Bonneau (69) +/-: David Desharnais (+11) Scoring leaders: Goals: Travis Morin (12) Assists: Travis Morin (14) Points: Travis Morin (26) PIMS: Luke Gazdic (56) +/-: Travis Morin (+8) Puck drop is at 8:05 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/
  13. I've always been a Boyd fan, I was advocating him to play more when he was up. Him going and scoring should help to get him a contract somewhere next season, not to mention the fact it'll give the Bulldogs another useful body. Glad to see Maxwell had such a positive impact too.
  14. Desharnais scored with 5 minutes left in the 3rd to ice it, 3-0 Bulldogs win! http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1007764
  15. http://www.cbc.ca/video/#/Sports/CBC%27s_H.../Coast_to_Coast (First one on there.)
  16. Last I saw, they had 3 goalies left in camp (Aittokallio, Ortio, and Perhonen), 8 D, and 14 forwards. As you said it's moot since Nattinen won't be dropped, so the Habs will have 2 prospects in the WJC's.
  17. Now the Bulldogs (16-8-4) are on the road as they travel to the hockey hotbed of Texas for a 3 game in 3 night roadswing. Tonight, they travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Barons (16-9-4). Dustin Boyd is expected to be available to play tonight. Scoring leaders: Goals: Max Pacioretty (NWT) (17) (Weber is 2nd in goals and he's gone too...) Assists: David Desharnais (25) Points: Pacioretty/Desharnais (32) PIMS: Jimmy Bonneau (69) +/-: Carle/Desharnais (+10) Scoring leaders: Goals: Liam Reddox (15) Assists: Alexandre Giroux (17) Points: Giroux/Reddox (27) PIMS: Alex Plante (62) +/-: Liam Reddox (+13) Puck drop is at 7:05 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/
  18. Posted this on Twitter yesterday but forgot to mention it here, Nattinen survived the next round of cuts for Team Finland. They have 1 set left which probably won't come until after their exhibition games, including 1 against Canada I think. It'd take some kind of choke job for him to be cut though, he's going to be one of their top players.
  19. If you're up for reading more critical comments about the CBC's analysis last night, this would be a pretty good piece to read: http://heymynameiswill.blogspot.com/2010/1...wn-show-to.html
  20. Nice dive by Boston to get the PP to make it close, glad to see that didn't turn out to be a killer. We live to see another few days atop the division. HW's 3 Stars: http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2308
  21. Happens once or twice a season actually, it happened to Pittsburgh last year, they had to bring in one of their prospects, I think it was Alexander Pechurski. Vancouver did it a few years back as well, plus the one referenced in the article. Good thing I didn't have Bryzgalov in net in the pool tonight.
  22. Can't help but wonder if they actually had some unbiased, non-Bruins analysts that things might be better. Seems to me I saw Milbury hosting some Boston games on NESN last season. If only Hrudey had this game instead of Stock...
  23. Big goal by Gionta to bring the 2-goal lead back, though the late penalty by Darche could come back to bite the Habs.
  24. All this Stock/Milbury stuff makes me glad I decided to get to some e-mails during the intermission instead of listening to them talk...
  25. Believe me, if there's anyone who knows what the Habs have to work with cap wise, it's me. LTIR isn't all rosy; if we use it, we all but certainly finish the season over the cap (due to player bonuses for Eller/Weber), that's not ideal. The best time for them to use LTIR will be at or near the deadline, where they can use it but not blow all of their accrued space thus far, thus getting the player but not the penalty next year. I understand that Desharnais ideally will be evaluated but calling him up as the 14th forward and playing him 2 or 3 out of every 5 games isn't going to help other teams get a read on him. There will be injuries, he'll get his shot at some point. I don't think that point is now with 13 healthy forwards ahead of him.
