  1. TSN is definitely mentioning on its site that Columbus, Vancouver and Dallas have all submitted offers for Richards. The new owner is apparently the one holding the cards.
  2. Yeah, Kostopoulous wrote a letter of apology to the police and charges were dropped.
  3. Exciting time to be a Habs fan with so many rumours floating around the team...
  4. Could it be? On HNIC's Hotstove last night, Al Strachan claimed that Lecavalier is tired of playing in Tampa and wants to be in a bigger market. He's going to ask for a trade in the summer, and Strachan suggests that New York and yes, Montreal would be logical destinations. He also said that the Lightning are deadset against it, but if Lecavalier demands it, there's not much they can do. The rest of the panel noted that Feaster has promised to bring in an elite goalie in the offseason, and logically there's no way he can do it without moving one of the big 3.
  5. Haha, well there'll be plenty of O'Byrne and purse jokes for days to come
  6. It wasn't Spector...I saw it on HFBoards, it's from something called "hockeyleaks.com"
  7. Regardless of how it happened it could be quite the problem for O'Byrne. "O'Byrne, who was recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs on Sunday, finds himself in a difficult position because he was charged with stealing a woman's purse. It's a felony and he could be barred from travelling to the United States if he is convicted. That would effectively end his career in North American professional hockey"
  8. Also, I think a player for the Tigers (Craig Monroe, I think) was arrested for shoplifting.
  9. Wow, what a deal for Ottawa- Stillman is a great playoff performer and they've been desperate for a top-six forward.
  10. Just thought about it, considering it was the rookie dinner...possibly it was a rookie dare kind of scenario? Anyhow, Gainey does not seem like the kind of guy who appreciates this kind of publicity. It reminds of Corson getting into frequent fights in Montreal bars, and getting knocked out once by that ex-NFLer. Strangely enough, the fellow came by my high school to talk about his battle with drug addiction and talked quite candidly about knocking him out.
  11. Montreal Gazette is reporting the following new info: According to police, $20 was missing from the woman's purse.
  12. I'm surprised it wasn't first reported by them.
  13. He probably just picked it up thinking it was his girlfriend's purse and he was too drunk to realize it wasn't. Obviously he wouldn't steal something and then just stand outside with it.
  14. O'Byrne obviously was acting like an idiot because he was probably drunk out of his mind. Kostopoulous got arrested because the police decided to show the millionare athletes who's boss. Emery got pulled over and had a verbal argument with a cop in Ottawa yesterday, same kind of thing. But of course, we can't blame cops for these two acting like clowns. Not the kind of behaviour you want to see from a rookie, that's for sure.
  15. Man, that's crazy I hope Zednik recovers fully.
  16. Kinda bizarre. And I think the Phoenix trade would actually be bad for Montreal. Boynton was waived in the offseason with no takers.
  17. Yeah I know, I was talking about Koivu
  18. Yeah I know, I was talking about Koivu
  19. Yeah, it was getting tiresome last night. "Brisebois fails to keep the puck in" seemed to be the chorus on the powerplay whenever he was on.
  20. "Small" is not a big deal in the NHL anymore. That's ridiculous - teams are desperate to pick up anyone. Even Ryder would attract some interest. If you actually think he has zero value, you're deluded.
  21. I'm actually quite surprised you put Lehtonen on that list. He has the potential to be a top 5 someday, but it isn't right now.
  22. Well, I'm not about to hunt down stats or anything but my feeling is that Huet is better than Lehtonen, Vokoun and Bryzgalov. Although he didn't show it last night
  23. "little bastard" Wow, someone needs to calm down and realize the ridiculousness of what he just posted.
  24. Come on Habs, let's get it going for the 3rd! There's still a period left and the team can come back and win..
