  1. That goal was "sick". He shot it while rolling over, unbelievable
  2. Yup, your right there was no effort, he didn't want to score
  3. Get real, I'm not taking anything out of context. He wasn't caught off guard, by the time the pass hit his stick he was in close and pretty well out of options. Yes he missed, and guess what he'll miss again in his career, but to say there was lack of effort is ridiculous.
  4. About Ryder going to the backhand, what would you have done. Pretty easy game when your sitting back watching. He tried a move and it didn't work, if he had shot it might not have worked and then you'd say stupid shot, should have deked. What many people don't realize is that one on one the goalie has the advantage. Ryder breaking his stick over the crossbar might have made you happy but it would have made him look like a sooky crybaby. He kept his composure whats wrong with that, not everybody outwardly shows emotion.
  5. Was this post an attempt to shit disturb because if you were serious about Huet I'd say you need to wipe the egg off your face
  6. I can't believe how a lot of people have given up on Theo because he's struggled in the first half. A bunch of fair weather fans, pathetic.
  7. Huet played great tonight, too bad Bonk let him down. First he takes a lazy penalty then later he gives the puck away and doesn't take his man who scores, absolutely frustrating to watch. I thought the game was pretty even after the first in fact the shots were even the last two periods. I watched the game on TSN and I have to say Pierre Maguire can be the most irritating announcer there is. I don't understand French but I was tempted to switch to RDS so I wouldn't have to listen to him rant.
  8. Yeah, lets trade Theo to Colorado where he can win some cups and haunt us like Roy did. No way do I like this trade rumour. Can you say fleeced again.
  9. As far as his health goes he's been relatively injury free since he came back from the cancer. Although I may be wrong I think his recent injury was the most signifigant he's had in a couple of seasons
  10. Crosby grew up in the same area where I live and is a year younger than one of my sons. They both played with different associations in the Central Minor Hockey League which takes in Halifax and surrounding areas. It was common knowledge at all the rinks that Troy is a loose cannon, in fact on one occasion the police had to remove him from one of the rinks because of his behaviour. Non of this was ever reflected on Sidney though, he was always known as a real humble down to earth kid.
  11. I don't think Saku will be going anywhere, however we do have a habit of trading captains in recent years.
  12. Jack Todd has no right to judge Crosby because of his fathers actions and on another note I think he received 2 mins for unsportsmanlike not a misconduct, however you are right he was playing with frustration that night instead of passion, but he's a smart kid and will learn by all of this.
  13. The trade that gohabsgo mentioned would be ludicrous, it would be the Roy trade all over again, man I'm having anxiety attacks thing about it. Huet is in Montreal for one thing and thats to be Theos backup, to think that because he's had a couple of good outings that he's ready to take over as number one doesn't fly IMO. He will continue to get a start every once in a while.
  14. Unfortunatly Jack Todds articles are for subscribers only so I can't see what he had to say. Crosby is an 18 year old kid who plays with a ton of passion and emotion and he himself admits that sometimes he lets it get the best of him and he has to work on it. The Penguins have to get someone to protect him, like Gretzky used to have in Semenko or teams will continue to take liberties with him. I've seen Crosby play since he was in minor hockey and he always chirped a lot, thats just the way he is.
  15. Dude you spelt "whistle' wrong. Crosbys talent with Hunters fiestiness sounds like the type of player every team would love to have. How do you know he was bitching to the ref, were you out there to hear what he said. Also lots of players yap at each other, tying to get each other off their game. "Not heading in the right direction". He's 18 years old, near the top in league scoring and, leading the Penguins in all offensive catagories. I think the direction he's going is pretty good
  16. Huet and Danis aren't ready to assume this responsibility. Have you forgotten Huets game against Washington where he stunk the joint out. Get used to the fact that Theo is our #1 and isn't going anywhere.
  17. Why is everyone so anxious to get rid of Theo. Granted he isn't playing to his potential but, hey the guy is a former MVP and Vezina winner and he will get it back together, and when he does I would rather it be with us than elsewhere. I remember a number of years ago when Hasek was still with Buffalo he was having a sub par season and had been pulled more than once. Fans there were calling for him to be gone but the team stuck with him and the rest is history. I predict Theo will regain his form, lets be more patient, besides he's our #1 and he isn't going anywhere.
  18. It wasn't the prettiest of wins but a win it was. Although Ott had a lot of shots many were from the outside and they didn't have a lot of quality chances. Huet played solid and his rebound control was excellent. PK was great. It was mentioned by Ron Tugnutt that even though Ottawa controlled the puck a lot in the Habs zone they were kept to the outside by good defensive work. Hopefully this game is a step in the right direction :hlogo:
  19. Zednik has been invisible for quite awhile and has been anything but a leader. This move is sending a him message in an attempt to get his act together. This is just one of the ways that management is trying to shake things up to get the team back on track.
  20. Strachan is an opinionated moron. I don't know how anyone can take him seriously
  21. If ya don't like hitting go watch Novice hockey. Canada has to hit to win, so let's pound em.
  22. I think I'll watch the Jrs, less frustrating. Go Habs.
