InsaneHABSfan
On Friday, an arbitrator awarded New York Islanders winger Trent Hunter $1,550,000 for the 2007-08 season. Hunter, 27, scored 20 goals and added 15 assists last season with the Islanders, while ranking second on the team with 246 hits. Hunter was seeking $1.9-million in arbitration. He earned $1-million last season and the Islanders, who have plenty of room under the salary cap, are expected to accept the ruling. They have 48 hours to accept the arbitrator's decision, or else Hunter would become an unrestricted free agent. TSN LINK
Chris
Man, what a bargain. Too bad Kovalev wasn't up for for arbitration. THe Habs could have saved 3 mill.
huzer
I'm going to get hung for this, but I'd rather have Hunter at that price than Begin at 1.2M.
smon
No kidding But Begin is at 1M, not 1.2.
