puck7x
246 MTL GREGORY STEWART 5/21/1986 Kitchener, Ont. CA 6' 1" 193 OHL PETERBOROUGH LW L Gregory Stewart- Stewart is fourth player taken by the Habs that came from a team they already had a prospect on. With Stewart they get a physical winger who isn’t afraid to take the body, but not a known goon, as he can skate well and has good speed. Has yet to show any real offensive game, but he has gotten time on the top line on a weak Peterbrough team. http://www.habsworld.net/show_big_news.php?id=619 <hr> Another Ontario native in Round 8 Montreal’s scouting staff looked beyond the numbers in making Gregory Stewart their 8th round pick and the 246th overall selection in the draft. A left winger with the Peterborough Petes, Stewart had highs yet his fair share of lows in 2003-04, a campaign that was plagued with off-ice uncertainty surrounding his team. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound forward notched just four goals and 10 points to go along with 76 penalty minutes in limited playing time in 58 games, a situation that hampered his development. Things should improve in 2004-05, however, as the Peterborough franchise regains its feet and its players benefit from the renewed stability. “Stewart is a power forward who always put up great numbers wherever he played, particularly in Tier II,” noted Timmins. “He’s physically strong and has the desire to win that reflects extremely well for a player of his age.” <a href="http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect.cfm?sectionID=habsNewsDetails.cfm&newsItemID=3841">LINK!</a> [Edited on 2004-6-28 by puck7x] [Edited on 2004-12-29 by puck7x]
dlbalr
Here's Stewart's profile from the Petes' web site: http://www.gopetesgo.com/players/gstewart.htm His stats aren't too impressive though: 58 GP, 4 G, 6 A, 10 PTS, -10, 76 PIMS
beckham
Stewart popped a pair of goals in the first period to give him 10 goals and 21 points for the season. He is only 1 goal and 3 points behind #4 overall pick Andrew Ladd in scoring this year to date. :/)

I'm not to high on the pick of G.Stewart , so whatever he does is a bonus to me., [Edited on 2004-12-17 by puck7x]
