The Bulldogs (8-10-1-1) return from a 4-game road trip to begin a whopping 1-game homestand before going out on another 4-game road trip. Their opponent? The same team they played the last time the puck was dropped at Copps, the Lake Erie Monsters (12-10-1-1). With Peoria winning last night, Hamilton now sits dead last in the AHL (but have multiple games in hand on almost everyone).

Projected Lake Erie Lines:
(based on +/- data from yesterday so these likely aren't entirely right)

van der Gulik - Malone - Thomas

Agozzino - Sgarbossa - Lerg

Connolly - Olver - G. Walker

Carey - Heard - Bordeleau

Gaunce - Elliott
Stollery - Barrie
Pock - Sullivan

Pickard

Projected Hamilton Lines:

Quailer - Dumont - Gallagher
Blunden - Boyce - Leblanc
Bournival - Chaput - Palushaj
Hagel - Nattinen - Holland

Beaulieu - Ellis
Tinordi - Commodore
Nash - St-Denis

Desjardins

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM, Funny820 as always will have the play-by-play; click the banner below to listen. The game can also be seen on TVA Sports.

Very nice goal by Quailer. He is fast and strong.

I like what I am seeing from Nattinen, Gallagher, Beaulieu and Tinordi.

Yes, nice to see Quailer win races for puck, use his size and go to net.

Commodore is a good pick-up and stands out at AHL level.

Holland is good/smart playmaker, but Blunden will never be confused with Stamkos.

Gallagher has "accidently fallen" on every goalie in every game so far i think.

Not sure why Nash seems to have regressed so badly, but still is only d-man with a + in +/-.

Nattenin seems bigger and a bit more confident this year and is team leading with a +4

Tinordi's skating is impressive.

I think a lot of his 'regression' simply stems from too high of expectations. When the Habs signed him out of college, we all thought he was a depth minor league signing. He had a great start in his first year, earned a quick recall to the Habs (getting fans' hopes up), and then was simply horrible after that. I attributed it to him hitting a rookie wall but his play this year is reminiscent of how he finished off that season. I'm starting to think that's it's not a regression but just how he is, a depth minor league d-man like we all first thought.

Isn't Nash getting over a major injury?

yes missed almost all last year-shoulder.

But, he just seems lost out there, turning puck over, cant pass for shit, not physical at all and just seems to fumble the puck everytime he has it? But he still is a +, so maybe i do expect too much?

Or maybe all the attention paid to rookie group has he and St.Denis "out of sorts" and seeing themselves drop big time in the depth chart?

And also knowing Deitz/Thrower/Bennett/Nygren are likely gonna challange for d-spots also over next few years and a crack at Hab roster next season is fading?
