dlbalr
The Bulldogs (1-1-2) will look to get back into the win column as they host Rockford (4-2-0). Martin St. Pierre is expected to miss his third straight game while Patrick Holland, Nathan Beaulieu, and Michael Blunden will all suit up for Montreal, leading to some very ugly line combinations reminiscent of last year. That means Stefan Fournier will make his AHL debut while Morgan Ellis apparently will play as well. Projected Rockford Lines:(based on +/- data from last game) Winchester - Morin - Hayes T. Broadhurst - McNeill - LeBlanc Mullane - Danault - Ross Ross - A. Broadhurst - Shalunov Clendening - Olson Svedberg - Dahlbeck Gleason - Nightengale Raanta Projected Hamilton Lines: Tarnasky - Dumont - Leblanc Andrighetto - Duffy - Nystrom Quailer - Macenauer - Aliu Courtnall - Nattinen - Fournier Chouinard - Pateryn Schiestel - Nygren McIver - Ellis Tokarski Puck drop is at 7:30 PM, AM900 will have the play-by-play; click the banner below to listen. DON
Pretty young up front now, hopefully someone can step it up a notch (Leblanc).
dlbalr
Pretty young up front now, hopefully someone can step it up a notch (Leblanc). I guess in some respects, he's a front liner...although that was the 2nd/3rd line not that long ago.
dlbalr
1-1 after 1. Tarnasky scored his team-leading 3rd of the year from Leblanc and McIver.
dlbalr
2-1 Rockford through 2. Neither team is generating much in the way of chances.
dlbalr
A positive, perhaps? In my humble opinion, @CanadiensMTL prospect Louis Leblanc is playing his best game of the season for @BulldogsAHL. https://twitter.com/dogsplaybyplay/status/392821967247536128
dlbalr
Here's a not-so-positive. Hamilton draws a penalty, then another shortly thereafter to get a 5-on-3. How do they respond? By taking two penalties of their own. But, Andrighetto scored shorthanded to tie it at least, offsetting what could have been a big problem. DON
LL with 3 points, OT winner, right on! And little swiss rookie was 1st star. I hope Tinordi is sent down to help out and get a lot of icetime, Beaulieu looked fine vs Oilers, maybe give him a few straight games with Habs? dlbalr
Well, looks like this was a much better 3rd period than the Hab game. Down 2 with 2 and a half to go and get the win. That's worthy of the banana. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1011183
DON
Aliu with 5 shots and Dumont with 6, good to see both those players involved around the net. Nygren off to a solid offensive start to N.A. hockey with 3points in 5 games, wonder how he has looked in own end with more physical play? miklin
definitely banana worthy but like I posted, don't look anyone in the eye while eating it. It's a shame the crowd was only around 2,000 folks but I guess it's to be expected on a Tuesday with the Laffs and Habs on TV locally. Sort of thought the three star selection may have indictated they had been chosen before the Dog's comeback. Impressed how we finally have a couple tough guys in Nick and Akim who can actually score (and seem to have some speed to boot). There were a smattering of Rockford fans in the crowd but they were wearing Blackhawk jerseys that seem to have marks from jumping on the bandwagon. No genuine Ice Hog jerseys to be found. Rockford have some really big guys including a 6'9" Viktor Svedburg. Also have ex Dog Brad Winchester (Edmonton prospect) on the roster
Machine of Loving Grace
Should have watched this game instead of Edmonton/Montreal haha
