DON
Even with Swiss kid called up, don't think outcome will be pretty for the Dogs! Especially with team seemingly unable to score a goal in 1st two periods, missing Drewiski-Tinordi-Pateryn and of course the 29th ranked PP also not a big help. Habs30/31
Not looking good for the Dogs. Lack of scoring has been killing their play off chances again.
dlbalr
One lineup change for sure is in goal as MacDonald will get the nod.
dlbalr
New lines once again. The top line gets reunited at least. Finley's out for Shea and any time Finley isn't playing, it's a good thing. Crisp sits again which makes little sense. Send Fournier back to Wheeling since he's eligible to play there and then have Crisp take his place. That way at least both are playing and it's not like you're losing anything between those two. And Hensick on the 3rd line getting the St. Pierre treatment? Here we go again. He's your leading point getter who can't play defence...don't put him in a checking role!
dlbalr
Hudon puts the good guys up early. Andrighetto and Shea get the assists.

dlbalr
And that lead didn't last long, Cal O'Reilly ties it up.
DON
well, tied very quickly. Oh goodie... a Dogs PP! 5 forwards on the PP. unusual.
dlbalr
5 forwards on the PP. unusual. They've been trying that lately. The comeback game where they had 2 PPG's in the 3rd period (last week or so) was with 5 forwards on the top unit. In Lefebvre's defence, the pickings on the back end are slim. DON
Cant get worse (much at least) sowhat can it hurt to try something different.
dlbalr
Still 1-1 after 2. Neither team can get anything going on the PP. The Marlies are down in the 2nd so this could really be an important one in the standings.
DON
Well, some 3rd period scoring again Bowman from Thomas and 2-1 Dogs 16minutes left. (can they hang on and avoid OT?)
DON
9minutes left and 2-
DON
And now 1-8 in 3- on 3 for Dogs.
miklin
they almost won seconds before but two guys caught up ice after Utica goalie makes two quick spectacular saves. PP looked poor. Single ref Darcey Burchell was behind the play a lot.
DON
Playoff odds dropped from 35 down to 13.5% this week.
dlbalr
Playoff odds dropped from 35 down to 13.5% this week. They went down 13.5% after the loss to Chicago to 20.7% overall. The site doesn't look like it has been updated since then. (Unless you're using something other than Sports Club Stats.) That said, after only getting one point last night, I'm sure it's lower than that 20.7%. At the very least, the Marlies lost yesterday so the Bulldogs pulled ahead of them. It's a tough schedule though coming up, Utica again tomorrow and then two games vs Texas, all on the road. Adirondack, who is right behind Hamilton, has a game against Toronto and one vs Lake Erie (who also is right behind Hamilton) so the Bulldogs are going to be losing some ground no matter what. DON
no of course I am using incorrect info and you are correct dlbalr (thanks, need more coffee or bit dyslectic)
miklin
interesting how I think they've lost all games wearing the four alternate jerseys during the last six weeks
dlbalr
The second half of the home-and-home goes tonight which means I can just bump this thread instead of making a new one. It'll likely be a whole new goalie matchup after both backups played on Saturday night. Puck drop is at 7 EST.

dlbalr
Lernout draw in? Yep, he's in from the sounds of things, so is Shea. Finley and Bennett are scratched.
dlbalr
Utica scored at the end of the period off a bad turnover, 1-0 Comets after one.
DON
who coughed up puck? I see 4 forwards and Allen are -1, they had 4 forwards on for a PP maybe?
