BTH
I've always loved this guy and he had a great game tonight. I was excited when he was drafted. Most fans never considered him for a role with the Habs this year. I don't expect it either, to be honest. I say he should make the squad next season and will become an above average player once he reaches his prime. What do you guys think about him? sakiqc
Well, it'll be interesting to see what he can do this year with its junior team, especially what he can do at the WJC. Doesn't look like his freak injury really affected him. It wil be interesting to follow his progression.
Komisarek the Cruncher
I was there tonight and I was really impressed with what I saw. I had heard that he was slow and had a bad camp so far, but I didn't see any of that tonight. Good two-way player. Already defensively ready for the NHL but needs to improve is offense a little, is skating a little and faceoffs. Good prospect. Lets see what he does in the juniors and at the WJC this year. beckham
The think that you have to remember about Chipchura, Latendresse and Price is that they have been practicing and playing since early August. First with the U20 camp, then the prospect camp, now the main camp. They have a big head start on most of the other players who didn't lace up their skates seriously until just over a week ago. Those other players will catch up as camp goes on.
shortcat1
Good boint, beck. Nevertheless, we can always hope the best for them.

kaos
Chipchura will play in Prince Albert this year. Maybe a later callup with the Bulldogs depending on what the Raiders do in the playoffs. Next year he'll play in Hamilton and maybe ready for Montreal in 2007.

shortcat1
Speaking of prospects, Sarhei Kostsitsyn has 8 goals & 16 assists in 11 games. His 24 points is the best OHL rookie record, so far, 9 ahead of the second best rookie. Very encouraging. :hlogo::ghg::hlogo:

I think your previous statement of 6 points in 7 games was wrong, but perhaps the WHL website is wrong, I'm not quite sure.

MAK
he given the C this year and he seems to be showing alot of leardership. I just don't how montreal sees him: a thrid line defense specialist or a two way center on a second line. i'm sure he will make a terrific third line players as were gainey and carbonneau. I guess time will tell

I guess time will tell True enough. He was Gainey's first draft pick for Montreal. Analysts say that Chipchura was picked because of the safety of the pick and the fact that he's a Gainey-like player. Good both ways on the ice and with leadership qualities. :hlogo::ghg::hlogo:

BTH
Native like Jordin Tootoo? I never heard anything about that. I'm pretty sure he comes from Alberta or one of the prairie provinces.

I do believe that you were more precise though when you mentioned Vimy, Alberta.
