The leafs always play tough games versus the habs, no matter the lineup on either team they'll always give us trouble. This is not a gimme, not even close. Sure Sundin is out 4-6 weeks, and he is the leafs best player and leader... And sure O'Neill will probably miss the game, but they've got other players.

Anyways, I'm just hoping for a better effort from the habs then we saw in the first 2 games (bad efforts, but wins).

You mean Hockey Night in Toronto on the Communist Broadcasting Corporation.

I will be watching RDS all the way instead of listening to how the Leafs are doomed with Sundin out. I cannot believe Rivet said the Leafs have depth. hahahaha now that was nice of him to butter them up.

Heals is starting to say nice things about the young talent in Montreal and how Toronto better start building a program.

Of course he thinks the leafs are going all the way, but that is just to feed the Flock that can only dream of Lord Stanley's Mug. It was last won by blue and white in what 1967 hahhahaha :hockey:

Here's another shot at blasphemy.

Although I'm looking forward to the Leafs/Habs rivalry again, I'm also looking forward to the first intermission entertainment. It's usually interesting, if not funny.

My "leafs fan" buddy is going to his brother's wedding tomorrow. I'm invited, but I've decided to wait till after the game, and then I can go to the reception and gloat about how the Habs won 8 - 2 and everybody on the Leafs got injured (just minor day to day injuries shortcat, I'm not calling for everyone's career to end :/))

I bet the habs get burnt by some former players again (last game by Hossa/Rucinsky) ... I'm guessing one or more of Kilger/Tucker/Czerkawski will score tonight.

As for the actual game result, well... I dunno what I'm feeling. Go habs go is all I can say.

The Rangers won in Blue and White in 1994.

Anyway, Puck, what's the size of the longest thread in HW history. We need to know what we're up against. Actually, we've already made a page and the game starts in 11 hours.

All the info on the longest threads, most read threads, busiest forums, and member of the day are available in the stats section of the forum, just click the link in the header "stats" ... or follow this link.

The biggest thread in HW history is only a few days old, its the season opener game thread (habs vs bruins) ... 540 posts long, 37 pages. So we've got a long way to go to beat it. :D

Oh shit!!!

540 posts! Don't worry, though, we're up for it. Me and Shortcat are the ultimate post-wasting duo. Also, it's possible because usually, not much is said in intermission, but now we have entertainment à la Don Cherry.

Bulis_the_Habbie, I think someone has to get up very early in the morning to try and catch you off guard. Good observation.

I am waiting for Saku to break out and score a couple tonight. I will never forget what he went through to get back to playing so well. Plus I think Mr. Bulis is going to have a fabulous game too.

HABS 6 - LEAFS 2 My prediction. (Leafs score two because Montreal feels sorry for them)

The division teams always give us trouble. I don't think we'll blow them out despite the rosters.

Maybe 4-2 Habs. I don't expect Bulis to start leading the league in points but I expect 20 goals from him and possibly some assists. He's a defensive player anyway. Saku hasn't scored yet. I'm hoping he and Kovalev will each find the back of the net. Ribeiro needs to pick up his game and Ryder will hopefully get his first assist. I'll be watching SOuray closely.

I believe this will be a close one...2-1 in favor for any any of the teams. But as somebody mentioned earlier. I'm afraid some of our former players will win the game for the Leafs. We always have trouble with guys that we trade away - Forum ghosts, maybe?

The rangers are red-white-blue...

The only red is the outline of their logo. Do the Blackhawks wear green because one of the feathers on the Indians hair is green? No.

Oh yeah, a challange for you guys. Lets make this the biggest thread in HW history, you have my permission to go crazy.

Gonna be a little hard, I imagine that most people are going to be away from the computer, watching with friends.

I'll do my best in pre-game, but I found a bar with a satellite dish and center ice... I had to get all my hockey friends together so we could get the bar to give us 1 TV in the bar.

It's kinda funny, I got some sports fans to come who are not hockey fans at all on the promise that they are about to see the greatest rivalry in sports... don't let me down guys!

Predictions?

Habs 5-2

Ryder scores 1.5 goals (just to keep on track)

Kovalev scores on the tic-tac-toe

Souray scores on PP

I'll try and use the TV next to the computer. But this is the biggest pre-game thread so far I think. The game isn't even close to starting yet.

Kyle Wellwood is in the line-up for Toronto. He scored twice on us in the pre-season. There's a guy to watch. If the Habs win the Leafs will be screwed because their confidence drops more than it would against losing to another team. And then there are the injuries.
