mathieu30
Olaf Kolzig signed a two-year contract extension. The extension, which will pay the veteran $5.45 million a season, runs through the 2007-08 season when he turns 38. He is making $4.94 million this season, the last of a six-year deal. BTH
It's a bit much for Kolzig but this guy is the leader and captain of this team. Not to mention a great goalie.
dark_faerie87
He deserves it. No goaltender should have to face the same amount of shots that he does. He's the perfect goalie for the Caps right now.
jetsniper
This should let him retire with the Caps too which is great. He's meant a lot to the Washington franchise.
