Thanks for the ShoutOut,The point I was trying to make is more about Pacioretty. A lot people think we need to retool but want to trade Pacioretty. My point is you need him on the team if you're going to retool. But not if you're going to rebuild. If we retool I would look at trading our 1st pick along with our 2nd try and get a top D to play with Weber. Then see who we can land July 1st. But if we rebuild I trade Pacioretty, price and weber all by the draft.

Yeah but if you retool that means your still planning on trying to win a cup. Why trade a piece that could still help you win that cup ? If you're not planning on trying to win a cup then just rebuild and trade everyone. Don't just trade Pacioretty then hold on to price and weber.

Has our window really closed up??? If so it shouldn't be a retool it should be a full rebuild. If its a retool we don't trade a guy like Pacioretty, if its a rebuild we trade Pacioretty, Weber , price , Gallagher, petry, galchenyuk. We do a full rebuild, if its a retool we keep this guys just trade our ufa's and use the cap space and picks to retool. But that all depends on how much we think our window is closed.

Could the problem be that Bergevin doesn't want to look bad on any more deals that he is pricing his players hi? I mean one more bad deal could mean his job.

You can't compare hanzal with Plekenec. Hanzal is big and can score and a number 2 center, Plekenec is small and a number 3 center. There 2 completely different players. Anyway you put it Plekenec is a over paid 3rd line checking player.

I happen to agree with a 3rd and a 4th. Like I said earlier I can only see a 2nd if a team gives up a 3rd and depending on how far they go that 3rd can turn into a 2nd. Plekenec 3 years ago when we should of traded him I can see a 2nd, but not now.

I can see a team offering up a 3rd and depending on how far they go in the playoffs it could turn into a 2nd. But to give up a 2nd and a prospect for Plekenec I don't see it. If Bergevin can pull that off , I will be nice to him for all of next year.

Don't be surprised if Bergevin ends up getting less. I would give up more to take backlund and even eller before I do Plekenec.

I can find guys to do that job for a lot less.

I am just saying he has a history of not showing up in the playoffs. If I am a GM and do my homework on players I am not giving up a lot to get him. He would be my last option for a player I wont on my team to go on a deep playoff run. It would be different if he didn't have a history of not showing up come playoff time.

No way am I giving up a 2nd round pick and/or a prospect for a guy who is over paid and doesn't show up in the playoffs. Plus he is a ufa this off season. Sorry but I don't over value guys just because they play on my favorite team.

Sens need to win this one in regulation time. Montreal in a 3 way tie with Vancouver and edmonton with 48 pts. Wow never thought I would be hoping the habs lose . But that's what's best for the team right now.

I think it has more to do with the team being bad and the fact that we have no elite young talent waiting in the wings to make the team. The only way we can get those type of players other than drafting them is by trade. So that's why you keep hearing Pacioretty's name, Weber's name and Price's name in trade talks. If the team was winning and we were in the playoffs you wouldn't hear there names in trade talks.

We should just trade the vets already and call up the kids see what we have and what we might need going into next year.

But do we really want to see more goals???, less is good right now.

I think Strome could be a very solid 2nd line center. I think having Strome in the minors has more to do with all the uncertainty with the club then his development as a player.

If we could get back nylander or marner in the deal then it does.

I would give the leafs a call. They could use a guy like Weber plus he knows the coach well from team Canada so there's history there.

I don't think phx would do that but if you take out Alzner and add Mete and have them add Strome Arizona gets Mete + 1st round pick Habs get Strome + Ekman Larsson That could be a good deal.

Oh I know should of put down at draft day. But the thing that worries me is the guy in charge of making that decision. I have lost my faith in Bergevin and think at this point any move he makes is to try and save his job and not what's best for the team. I believe the Drouin trade was made just to keep the media off his back about the PK trade.

A top 5 pick could get us that top line center we need or that top D we need. So would you trade that pick to get it or look for the future and draft ? Me I look at this team and I think we just need a retool. If that's the direction this organization is going then I look at trading the pick. Thats what we should of did last time we had a top 3 pick, but we drafted and took galchenyuk. But if its a full rebuild then I draft.
