  1. Yea but in the same breathe. Whomever Therrien wants to bring in as AC will pail in comparison to Big Bird. Just factual. And if ego's can be set aside for the greater good. Im going only on the basis that Larry has wanted to come to Montreal time and time again and been refused. If both parties we're willing, its only Larry's loyalty that is in question.
  2. I found it funny that during an interview with Molson the first name he he mentioned from the faces around the room was Larry's. This is a Molson type move that I see happening. Im pretty sure looking forward, Larry see's, Markov with PK, Gorges and Emelin, with the kids in the system and then he looks and Adam Larsson is the only long term piece thats there. And, that would make any coach want to jump ship. Molson wants authenticity and passion from the fans. This is the only move to make.
  3. Hopefully his assistants will be Pascal Vincent, who played with Lapointe in Laval under Gros Mike. With Larry Roninson here for the D. And, Manny Fernandez brought in for Carey & Malcolm.. *coughs..
  4. This habsinsideout poll personally reflects my current sentiment and disposition. Q: Which one of the following candidates would you like to see as the Canadiens’ new head coach? Marc Crawford (28%, 1,343 Votes) Guy Carbonneau (25%, 1,203 Votes) Jacques Lemaire (22%, 1,057 Votes) Patrick Roy (21%, 1,035 Votes) Michel Therrien (4%, 236 Votes) Total Voters: 4,875 And, you can add Robinson, Gallant, Groulx, Vincent & Savard to that list taking away from Therrien's 4% as well.
  5. Doesn't matter who I think is better or more qualified. Its shooting fish in buckets instead of fishing in the ocean that really grinds my gears.
  6. The fact that we have come to accept this as fact is sad as citizens never mind as sports fans.
  7. I gotta say this. And, people can call me ignorant or whatever they choose but.. Its moments like this, It shames me to be a Quebecer. Imo decisions like this reflect the idiocy of quebec mentality. Insanity. Keep stickin the needle in the same vein. I will now cheer for the Wild and pray the Nordiques come back and free the Canadiens of the separatist tunnel vision that engulfs quebec's society to a detriment. Thanks french media!
  8. Couldn't agree more. Luckily he was injured this season or he'd be the consensus 1b/2 pick. And it doesn't hurt that Columbus wouldnt/couldnt legitimately/confidently draft another russian forward. This draft would be mega interesting if CBJ got 1st overall.. lmao ps. WHAT IF.. the 1st overall was available for Subban, Avstin(other) & a 2nd(plus). I think the possibility of drafting Yakupov & Galchenyuk is something Bergervin has to strongly consider. And that duo is worth more to the franchise than PK. Imo. Oilers could hopefully land Malcolm as well. That would be best for everyone involved. Beaulieu, Ellis. Bennet, Torp, Patteryn & Tinordi.. plus a deep defensive pool this season and a plethora or 2nd round picks on the horizon. Time to make a move.
  9. Dang it. Hartley to flames.. Crawford and Therien? Hells no! If this is the case, I'd rather have Roy and his Torts affect than washed up, recycled coaches. Might as well re-hire Martin instead, lol. And, I'd rather have Galchenyuk than Huberdeau. Nevermind 3rd overall plus for Huberdeau. Ive been going over concepts for trades.. I feel a PK plus for Yakupov.. with Tinordi, Beaulieu and a plethora of good young D available in this coming draft. Sell high! lol I hope LA sweeps so we can get on with the off season lol..
  10. All signs point to Hartley imo. And, the only reason the coach has to be bilingual.. is to compensate for ignorant media that cant properly function in english. Im bilingual and even if the new coach only spoke french and gave the team the best chances at winning (hypothetically) I'd be okay with it. Maybe english media members whom cant function in french would be up in arms and their followers in turn as it only reflects upon their limitations within the politics and crux of the social stigma. Personally. I dont think Religion and politics should be in bed together. And in Montreal, hockey is religion.
  11. "Montreal picks third and Toronto goes fifth, obviously the rivals have identified the same group of players likely to go in the Top 5. Here's an idea, since compensation is no longer allowed for poaching coaches or executives, maybe Montreal flips picks with the Leafs as part of a bigger package that secretly covers off the inconvenience Toronto is dealing with in losing Dudley, a key member of the Maple Leafs management and draft team? Just a thought and purely my own." Will never listen to this guy or take his opinion seriously again. What a tool. Such a irrational statement. He would NEVER make this kind of comment if it were FLA & TB swapping executives. I think the Dudley|Timmins combo has Dregs shaking in his lil Leafs undies. Dregs lost lots of stock with me on this. Serious Marinaro moment for someone who usually garners lots of respect with his professionalism.
  12. Good times this Capgeek. http://www.capgeek.com/cap-calculator/roster.php?id=3141
  13. Ribiero was at around 115-120 games experience before he became an actual impact player. And, yes. It sucks he was a clubbing douche and not a dedicated professional hockey player while in town. Lats is Dagenais with more mobility and less snip. His body mechanics are poo, and its too bad, he had potential. Unfortunate he was rushed(understatement) cause his name was Gui and he was big. I doubt Lats will ever be healthy enough consistently to have a productive and effective career. But yes, Latendresse was the last player that was hyped as a teenager that I can recall. His impact was greatly exaggerated as he only filled voids, potential aside. And, Carey Price, of course.
  14. Wait until the Devil's are eliminated. Of course he's not going to abandon his integrity while throwing his team under a bus while they're still playing. There is a time and place for things like this. Now if definitely not the time for anyone involved.
  15. Super happy to see Plekanec wearing the C for Czech's. Good for him and well deserved. Ummm... Petr Nedved. Wow.....
  16. Grigorenko is most ready. Forsberg second, because he plays with some sandpaper, nhl ice surface would take an adjustment period. But, Galchenyuk, if completely recovered and healthy, could out score the others and be the more effective top 6er. Period. But, most ready.. doesnt mean ready ready. Read me?
  17. Plek is a core piece if this team is to be competetive and rebound. He's one of the best 2nd line centers in the league. Like Koivu before him. He needs some insulation and we'll see a serious impact. I still erk at the thought of Plek and DD 1-2. Or 2-2, really.
  18. David Perron & Simon Gagne are others I hear people pout about.
  19. Yea, you're right about Boll. But I'd rather a player that can contribute in the bottom 6 like a Dorsett. He may not win a fight with the heavier guys but wont back down. Montrealers love that Kostopolous type character. Need guys with some dynamic. Staubitz can cycle and is mobile for his role but doesnt contribute much otherwise. But, I'd be happy with Staubitz as well as we've had little to compare to his abilities around here since Darren Langdon or Gino Odjick lol Besides Laraque cashing in on pacifism, of course. I'd welcome a defenseman like O'Brien that can be imposing and have forwards more suited to crashing, banging and going to the net more effectively.
  20. Columbus has both Dorsett and Boll. Imo you get either of those guys and are better off than with Staubitz on your roster.
  21. "Brent Sutter should play the penguin in the new Batman. Ugly bastard." My friend. lmao
  22. Head Coach: Denis Savard Assistant: Larry Robinson Assistant: Pascal Vincent Fresh start!
  23. Does having Robinson as head coach make Parise consider the habs any or more? Hmmmm...
  24. Clearly, I have expectations or a particular mindset at looking at chemistry and what a playoff team should look like. I dont have faith in Gionta, and think we should Cammalleri him before he Gomez'. Guys like Geoffrion, Bourque & Palushaj are too one dimensional. I'd love to see a Stajan Hagman etc for Phaneuf type deal. Essentially, a bunch of able and affordable above average interchangable nhlers for an intangible. How's that for a sentence! pff I like the idea of adding Statsny. Mostly because you can add right handed power forward in Chris Stewart or David Jones, And have instant chemistry. Another interesting player is Wolski. Whom old pal Tallon happens to be in posession of in FLA.
