  1. Not yet ... minor move for the future. They lost very little and got a very good prospect.
  2. Just heard a third rumour out there. Some guy who doesn't know how to read the Title of a thread decides to release steam by making silly rumour suggestions in a weak attempt to poke fun at those exchanging rumour sources. His attempt is a bad mockery. The rumour goes: he might read this post and realize how weak his post is, and then stops ridiculing people for posting appropriately when he is not. Now it is only a rumour(e1), so in all probability this one will go south and he will continue in his innapropriate way. I hope we don't trade for another goalie. Halak and Danis should get there shots. But if we are to get TOSKALA, the Sharks would HAVE to take Abei. Have to. I'm hoping Souray for some young guns ... would be sweet. Damn what the lay people say ... they have short memories anyway! Youth movement is the way to go!
  3. Any news on whether Kostitsyn will be back in the line-up? What about Grabs?
  4. I'd be very surprised if Halak doesn't rock it tonight. Everyone who has been watching the Bulldogs since he came up knows that this guy has the skillz to pay da bills. He has played for just over half a season and he already owns the bulldogs shutout record ... and the D infront of him hasn't been that spectacular. Go HABS go!
  5. ah, get back to reality all you "sell the whole teamers". We may move a piece or two, but selling the whole team would make us a crappy team for the next 3 years. You need a balance of youth and veterans. Also, wondering if Carbonneau needs some sit down time with Gainey to work on his coaching strategy! If we can move Souray for some solid youth, it could be worthwhile. Some rumour mill was suggesting we trade Souray for a goalie ... but that would be stupid. With Halak and Danis in the pipe already we need to give them their fair shot. I'm hoping Halak sticks.
  6. I don't really have a check list, but I do always enjoy new experiences. Bullet train isn't all that impressive. Convenient, but not impressive. I ride the KTX in Korea all the time, and it chugs along at about 300 KMP/H. Fast ... but boring. A train, no matter how fast, is a train. Just recently I ate Fugu, otherwise known as blowfish ... popularized my the Simpsons - "poison , poison , poison - tasty fish". That was interesting .... and EXTREME! Next thing I want to do is MTB in Japan. And do some scuba somewhere in south east asia.
  7. Your point may be valid, but who cares? This is about trades! We could get guys like Bernier, Joe Pavelski, and Matt Carle. If we can get some top prospects for Souray and build for next year ... well they can make a new trophy called the Souray for the guys who make me laugh the most ... for all I care. If the goods are good, move Souray and work towards something for next season!
  8. I doubt he will add too much offence. Kostitsyn was the guy ... but good for Duncan for finally getting a chance. BTW, Bulldogs must be hurting right now with their 3 top scores out, and their top goalie too!
  9. Souray to the Sharks for a "boat load of prospects". Ekland ... which means ... not much. But an interesting rumour all the same. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=5578 PS. I think Ekland reads these forums as part of his "sources". This way he gets a read on what people want to hear!
  10. Koivu is a great guy, but I'm not so sure of his leadership abilities, and I don't see him leading this team at this moment. Also, his goal production has tapered off quite a bit this season. He is a hero in my books, but maybe he doesn't have it in him to lead anymore.
  11. Yeah, trade aside. If we keep him, good character guys make good leaders. Koivu was a silent leader who lead by example. I don't think he is capable of this any more. Also, young teams need strong leadership.
  12. Step up doesn't equal fight. When you "step up" you take on a challenge. It could be verbal, it could be physical, and it could be mental. There is no limitation to what can be meant by "step up". Now in the context I was using it, it was step up verbal and mental. Now, if you have any more problems with reading, PM me. .... back to the topic again.
  13. Are you able to read? Where do I say there was a fight? Those voices in your head are what you should be screaming at ... not this post! Now, back to the topic at hand! New leadership needed?
  14. It seems that Souray wants to stay, and it seems like he is the only one who will step up and put Kovalev in his place, and he is the only one who goes on camera and says we have to play better. Souray is a character guy, who everyone seems to respect. Maybe instead of trading him we should make him our captain.
  15. He won't be out for too long. I imagine he will hang with his wife and baby for 3 days, and then get back to work ... unless there are complications with the baby ... which I hope there hasn't been.
  16. I'd talk to Souray first and find out what he envisioned his future to be. If he plans on moving to Cali, and we aren't doing too well before the deadline, I'd move him. A good young prospect offensive center or D-man could make all the difference next season.
  17. Kostitsyn with another 5 point night: 2 goals, 3 assists. He now has 94 points on the season and is closing in on his team mate's point total. He is on fire.
  18. So your solution is a fire sale ... for prospects, and then focus on next season?
  19. top right hand side. My controls > block users. Never used this function .... let me know if it works.
  20. The thing is, with the Dogs being as stacked as they are, busting out victory after victory, and with so many bosom buddies, I won't have to keep abreast with his emotional needs. He is proud to wear the Bulldog on his chest. #### has been a large part of this, and it only helps that he can avoid been checked by those AHL knockers who try to plow him into the boards. I think he will have pleasant mammaries of his time there, especially with all those hooters who scream his name at every home game (saying nothing of those booing boobs) ... so I don't think he will be insulted by such an effectionate nickname.
  21. until I hear the official one from the team I will stick with the one I like. If I had a friend called Kotitsyn I would definitely call him #### ... especially if he had a sence of humour.
  22. I'd like to see that! A bit old though ... would prefer younger ... but beggers can't be chosers.
