dlbalr
The IceCaps kick off the postseason on Friday as they host the Crunch for the first of back-to-back games. Although Syracuse won the division, they opted to start with two on the road and then have the final three games of the series on home ice. Daniel Carr (concussion) has been taking part in practice this week and may be cleared to play for this one. Erne - Gourde - Conacher Bournival - Dumont - Vermin McGinn - Peca - Condra Howden - Froese - Lynch Masin - Dotchin Thomas - Taormina Brodeur - Koekkoek Gudlevskis (Lines are guesses with Carr possibly being available while the defence pairings are probably just wishful thinking...) Hudon - Terry - Scherbak Matteau - de la Rose - Friberg Carr - Audette - Farnham Veilleux - Petti - Camara Hanley - Redmond Lowe - Juulsen Mete - Lernout Lindgren Puck drop is at 6:00 PM EST, AM 930 has the call. DON
Scherbak makes it 1-0 4 minutes in on the PP. Scherbak also assisted on a Hudon goal that was called back just before PP started. Lernout with big hit early on.
DON
Terry makes it 2-0! Sounded like a 2nd assist for Hudon.

DON
Juulsen and Mete didn't play, if Mete is even with them? I see Meet signed a deal a couple days ago, so assume just healthy scratch. dlbalr
St. John's thought they had another one in OT but it was waved off as a Syracuse player knocked the net off just before it went in.
dlbalr
Syracuse scored in double OT but it was waved off. Then they scored again...and there wasn't a reason to wave it off. They're heading to Syracuse next week with the series tied at one apiece. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary/1017048

Trizzak
McCarron could be sent down to help out, no? KInda wish they'd papered Lehkonen down at the deadline to extend his season a little bit.

It's been a long season for Lehkonen who vastly surpassed his career high in games played so I'm not surprised they didn't paper him down (for that matter, the European Assignment Clause could have blocked them from doing so). I'd suggest he's a candidate for the World Championships unless he burned that bridge when he declined to go last year.
