Mont Royale
I thought it would be interesting to see who else in the HW club plays a musical instrument... who among us are musically inclined! Reply and say what instrument you play, and what kind of music it is you play. I remember shortcat said he plays guitar. For my part, I like to bang away on the drums, mostly hard rock. I know... drummers are at the bottom of the musical gene pool. A quick drumming joke (as told by Nick Mason, Pink Floyd): Boy: When I grow up, I'm going to play drums! Mother: You can't do both! Your full drum kit would be a bit much with my uke, but a shaker egg works well. Or maybe bongos, haven't tried them yet. What sort of percussion do Hawaiians use, I dunno :?-

TheAussiePosse
heh, trumpet and piano for 10 years each, classical/jazz/rock. what was weird is, in America (when I lived there), one could be thought of as a "band geek" or "band dork" or whatever. but back in australia, they really appreciate musical talent, if you can play, and play well, you get major kudos. don't suppose we'll pull a "postal service" and set up a HW band with the combined talent? simonus
i never really got made fun of for playing instruments as a kid (either in Canada or USA). Let's be honest, many of those kids in the band were dorks. Edited December 23, 2005 by simonus

CoRvInA
Nothing related just found out for those Metallisucks fans that James Hetfield is a Sharks fan! Hope we kick the shit of them Tomorrow NOW even more!!! Other Interests James is lifelong, diehard Raiders fan; he is also a hockey fan, most notably following the San Jose Sharks. James is an avid hunter, sportsman and has been seen wakeboarding and snowboarding. He can also be found doing things other than jamming in his garage.. notably working on his Harley Davidson motor cycle and Chevy Bel Air hot rod. http://www.intersandman.com/resource/james/index.html
