  1. Not sure what Rohrer has done to be rated ahead of Heinemann, ratings must have been done a few months ago.
  2. The Kings have given up 14 goals the last 2 games. Will that continue or will they tighten up a bit? It certainly hurts with Doughty out and their goaltending has been weak.
  3. I always find these redrafts interesting. Obviously we knew Hutson would have a big move up from 62 but that is also a huge move for Engstrom, 4 in the top 35 for a redraft is not a bad look. I assume Mesar dropped quite a bit?
  4. Not a good hit and kudos to Knoblauch for benching him.
  5. Most likely not but I haven't given up on the season yet. I also think the Canucks over achieved last year and they might struggle to make the playoffs.
  6. I would much rather see the Habs win their 25th cup.
  7. Now 4-0. All we need is for Calgary to play approx. .500 for the rest of the year and they will end up where they need to be. If we could get a top 15 pick out of the Monahan deal that would be awesome!! Let's go Flames!!
  8. I think most here would agree with you as Hutson's passing, vision and creativity are certainly qualities you want a point man to have and he has them in spades. I think Marty doesn't want to rush things or put more pressure on him at this point as he is still a rookie. His time will come, just a question of when. It also seemed like Matheson had a lot of shots blocked last game.
  9. I think the Oilers need to go on a road trip. They look just dreadful.
  10. Absolutely, he is only 18, 2 years in college seems about the minimum. He is still filling out. I don't know how KHL contracts work either, seems to be a lot of flexibility with some players.
  11. Hutson is a unique player. I have tried to think of a comparison but there is nothing that comes to mind. Certainly Subban played more of a power game. Hutson has a unique skillset. I agree about Dach, he seems to be skating well which was my biggest concern coming into the season. He just needs some time. Having Laine probably would have helped too.
  12. Slaf fits in well with Suzuki and Caulfield providing a physical presence. They may have started a little slow but they still have 5 goals in 4 games. I would not mess up that line to try and fix another.
  13. Agreed. It also reminds me of talk I used to hear about Ovechkin from some pretty knowledgeable hockey people " he only has one move (ie one timer near the circle), that will be easy to stop". Well, guess what, 853 goals later they are still trying to stop him. You can plan all you want but things happen on the ice so fast and Hutson is so creative that I don't worry about plans to stop him. Put too many guys on him and he will find the open man.
  14. I think that's a pretty astute observation. The fact they had a scouting report on Hutson says something. He creates numerous chances every game. His defense will improve as he is smart enough to figure it out.
  15. Disappointed with the result but for the most part an entertaining game. I question Dach's decision making sometimes. It seems to me that he has been forcing a pass when he should be shooting and vice versa. I have noticed that the last couple games. His skating and puck handling seems fine. Best game I have seen Barron play, he has been more physical which he needs to do. Guhle playing with confidence and of course Hutson is magic. He makes the Habs so much more fun to watch. The Penguins seemed to get a few bounces and when did Eller learn to shoot like that? Shut down the big guns but the others killed us.
  16. This is the most physical I have seen Justin Barron play. Good to see
  17. That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that. It's not like they didn't know what they had with ABB, he has been around.
  18. I agree, my wife doesn't agree until she wants to order something through Amazon which is every couple weeks.
  19. The Rockets were impressive, Mailloux and Engstrom in particular. Mailloux's last goal was a work of art.
  20. Your take makes perfect sense and is probably the correct one. Plus they know he will be gone next year so they are not too worried about long term development which is understandable. As long as they don't mess him up too much.
  21. I am sure St. Louis will use different coaching methods but I am not bothered if his current team sits him because he is not playing the way they want, don't want him to feel entitled. Also less chance of injury. LOL
  22. I think it's simply a case of Kapanen/Heinemann having more upside and Marty deciding to give them more ice time which I am happy about.
  23. I agree and I think eventually there is little doubt that he will be quarterbacking the main power play unit but Marty intends to break him in slowly plus he is also showing loyalty to Matheson who did score 62 points last year. I do understand Marty's approach here.
