  1. His offense is way way above Kovacevic's. His wrist shot is phenomenal.
  2. He can have any number he wants. Except for 4 and maybe 9 and maybe 2 and ........
  3. Really. I would have thought his value has gone up as he has shown a lot this year.
  4. It doesn't sound like natural causes, he was only 51.
  5. Yes, I expect a big effort from the Habs tonight especially after that horrible Carolina game. I just hope they come up a little short like a 6-4 loss. Need a big effort from Buffalo tonight although Thompson is hurt so not too optimistic there.
  6. That's true. Having said that how much do you think Mailloux's trade value has gone up speaking hypothetically? He was drafted late 1st round, you would think his value is higher than a late 1st round pick now.
  7. That is horrible. sounds a little suspicious. https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/father-of-top-nhl-draft-prospect-matvei-michkov-found-dead
  8. I think Hughes would go for that. Obviously it would likely take more than just Mailloux but there is no doubt that Mailloux's trade value has gone up this year.
  9. Yeah, he just might make it with the proper development.
  10. That is a great question. He is certainly a good trade chip as big right handed defensemen with his skill set are not a dime a dozen. I think Hughes has been supportive but if he did see the pick as a Bergevin blunder he would certainly keep those thoughts to himself. I almost think Mailloux would be better off in a US market where the scrutiny would be far less. Some place like Anaheim might be ideal for him.
  11. True, but's it's an injury that concerns me a lot.
  12. I really don't know what to say about the injury subject. Are they cursed? The amount of injuries piling up borders on the ridiculous. No need to play an 18 year against grown mature men unless it's a truly exceptional case (ie. McDavid or Bedard).
  13. Thanks, a lot of mock drafts have him at #5, seems like a really talented player. Would you trade the #5 pick and Florida's pick to move up to get Fantilli or Carlsson? Would that be enough to move up?
  14. Commandant, who would you like the Habs to target in the 5-7 spot since that seems the most likely spot for them to draft? Thanks
  15. I think the Islanders are the team they catch as they lost again tonight. Need a big effort from Buffalo who still has a shot.
  16. According to this article if they are drafted from a country without a transfer agreement (ie. Russia) then they hold their NHL rights forever. This article is a little old so unless things have changed it would be forever for Michkov. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/nhl/understanding-rules-governing-the-nhl-entry-draft-2001090/
  17. It is a pertinent concern, no disagreement there. The question is at what selection point is Michkov so overwhelmingly the best player available that you are willing to take the extra risk. Is it 5, 10, 15? I don't know. But I think at 5 teams will seriously consider taking him if he isn't gone by then.
  18. I know the political stuff is the big concern and that's the only reason he may be available at 5.
  19. It's always a bit of a gamble. He won't be around past 10. If he is around at 5 then I think you have to look long and hard at the possibility of taking him. He might not be around for a couple years but we tend to rush young guys too much anyway. That might be a good thing. He has already indicated he wants to play in the NHL at some point. A lot to think about. It will be interesting to see how far he falls.
  20. Absolutely. Hopefully St. Louis can find a way to play Wideman 30 minutes a night.
