  1. Habs get the backup goalie ... has that been a "trend"?
  2. Ideal Me too More obvious in the "play-in" year ... but before you get slammed, I'll agree
  3. I think that is something that is asked/said about most smaller, creative players as they prepare to come into the league.
  4. Don't know about moving him up to the first line, but I expect he will get a good amount of ice time ... hopefully it is a showcase game.
  5. LOVE the colour commentator's "bye-bye" during the replay
  6. I suspect (hope?) he is one of those smaller guys who is just naturally elusive.
  7. With Dach out, the "win now" fans will disagree ... I-M-O ... Toffoli him ... HuGo sets a price and once they receive it trade him ... *** IDEALLY *** he plays well upon his return and sets off a "bidding war".
  8. And he won't be when winning supersedes development.
  9. Then don't complain when it happens to a Hab ... what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
  10. Agree it was a dirty hit and glad WiFi jumped him ... but just don't support anyone hitting the head of an opponent who is pinned to the ice.
  11. I don't think it ever did ... the guiltiest players tend to be those that have to do that shyte to stay in the NHL.
  12. Does it EVER "teach" an opponent anything?
  13. CBJ player checked him head first into the boards.
  14. I can't support ANY player punching an opponent once they have them pinned on the ice. But glad he didn't get an instigator penalty and have a 10-minute misconduct as well.
  15. The word "travelled" just rang in my head and I came to fix it, only to discover I had been "caught" ... I think I co-mingled some reference to the Columbus game and a general MSL principle.
  16. Good news that Guhle is skating ... read/heard that Dvorak also travelled to Columbus as MSL likes to "integrate" players close to return from injury.
  17. Hopefully you meant like when they TRIED to get into the bidding war for Stamkos in 2016 ... and not next summer when SS will be 34.
  18. @alfredoh2009 ... "The new team was brought in to change the trend" does not seem like a fulsome response ... you didn't initially specify whether the trend you referenced was actual injuries or the mismanagement of injuries ... AND ... you had questioned why, ***if*** the number was again high, the medical/training staff not allowing players to just play simply because they wanted to had value ... it was not obvious what "trend" you meant.
  19. Theoretically ... remember this is the. NHL ... it would allow them to put on a better show with fans and the stage in closer proximity. Although I would prefer a big video screen in the arena, with the teams making their own announcements ... each team could have a podium with either a standard 2024 NHL Draft background or a team-customized background.
  20. He sure looks like he is a loonnngggg way from the NHL ... such a baby-face
  21. Trainers/medical staff CANNOT prevent players from being injured ... but if games are added to the total by doing away with the previous staff far too often accepting it when players said "I'm OK to play/I'm ready to come back" then THAT is a good thing because they are doing what is best for the player, not just what the players want.
