  1. Ya, you are right. He wasn't the best example
  2. Claude Lemieux. Esa Tikkanen was probably the greatest pest of all time, but he didn't fight really.
  3. To be fair, I have watched TSN games where Mcguire was drooling over Laps for the whole game. He did say he was hated, but also how well he played the top forwards and what an effective player he was. He doesn't typically get a hate on for a guy, and that is it. He tends to praise or punish in a fair manner. He should have realized that this wasn't much different than Lucic turtling last year though. And Lucic was praised for his discipline.
  4. That's awesome Easy Ryder. Hope he makes a Metropolit of himself. Hey I am NHL hall of fame, and never once spammed to get my count up. LOL
  5. I don't see how Gainey had a choice here. Markov, O'Byrne, Gill, and now Spacek. That's 4 vets to replace. Bergy is a liability back there. I could see him playing 8 minutes a game. So what do you do? Skate 4 rookies from the Bulldogs?
  6. Ya the puck was bouncing like crazy too.
  7. These are very good points. If it was Morris or Wideman, he should have fought. Take a better player out for 5 minutes. Also, why let the crowd get into the game?
  8. I don't think they sat on it. They were outplayed and did not want to put themselves out of position in the offensive zone. If there was nobody to pass to, and they couldn't hang onto it, they just dumped and changed. Oh ya, I forgot to mention Lappiere. Bad form my friend...bad form. Gonna have to agree with Mcguire on that one. He's stolen all three of his wins.
  9. I only got to see from the 5 on 3 on. A few points. 1. PP...wtf man? 2. Cammy needs his nickname changed to clutch! 3. Pyatt and Carle looked poised, strong and intelligent out there. I'm sorry, but if I see Gregory Stewart in a Habs jersey again, I will be disapointed. 4. Spacek! I am sorry about the bad stuff I said. There is leadership! Playing his heart out...obviously in serious discomfort and even trying to put the game away on an offensive rush with Hammer. 5. Price...I was so happy to see that swagger and puck toss after his first shootout save. I knew there were no more pucks getting by him after that! The one goal against him was clean. Chara and Bergeron played it very well. 6. Oompa Loompa line. Martin better figure out how to play them against tough defensive teams. 7. Metropoit. Thanks Philly. wtf man?
  10. Ya, I was a little tongue in cheek with that. Hopefully it will become a defensive system.
  11. FORUM GHOST General statement toward large group of people who are saying something that he doesn't agree with. Jackp Direct quote with nice derogratory "Buddy..." attached for good measure.
  12. This is a very good point. I am very disapointed in this defensive squad and their speed. They get beat to pucks so badly, and our forwards aren't coming back in time. I am still waiting for this so called isolation that Martin system brings to goaltenders.
  13. Ya sign Celli, so I can buy his jersey!
  14. I look forward to your critique. Not only individual play, but team play. Are they trying the Martin system?
  15. I cant get the audio. Click on the link and nothing happens
  16. I disagreee Cucumber. Watch the game again. Price did not look good in the last two periods, but he only actually let one bad goal in. Those goals were due to having 1 or even 2 loose guys in front of the net. Cross crease passes, I mean how is that Carey's fault? I will not defend him and say that he played great, but 4 of the 5 goals which were scored were the fault of the forwards. Where is the acountability to those guys. Don't even blame the defensemen. They were fighting their guy with the puck behind the net. Blame the forward for not taking their guy.
  17. I agree. He didn't look good, but as I said before, he wasn't at fault for 3 goals. It was the returning forward not picking up his man.
  18. What's funny is that while Price did look bad, he was not the difference. He looked horrible, but he only had a chance on one goal. The point shot. 3 goals on the same play. Defensive covereage was the difference. Price looked horrible and I was sure she was beat several times, but it didn't go in. Once again, I hate to say that blaming the goalie for this is a little funny. Price looked horrible tonight, but only let in one goal that he should have had.
  19. That was the late forward's man. Gomez or Cammy. What horrible coverage. Good coaching by Atlanta. How many times did they do that same play? Price looked horrible in the second and third. I can't believe only one goal was his fault. The slow high point shot. Carle and Gorges are pathetic. Lats and Patches looked great again. Some finish would be nice though. WTF man? What a horrible game.
  20. Habs are playing great. One crap bounce and one beautiful play for 2-0. Normally I would be depressed, but the boys look good. We will see.
  21. I thought Shawn Belle looked great. I don't know why he wasn't called up.
  22. Ya that was a beauty. It was Beauchemen. Or the one where Cammy actually had to pull the guys stick out of his helmet after being highsticked. Gives the refs a WTF? Goes in and hits a guy and gets roughing penalty>
  23. Was I the only one that thought Maxpac should get a chance to play whith some skill guys? I really think he might be good. As he learns to play with the big guys I think he will be a top sixer. Maybe not this year, but in the next two or three. I hate it when Kosed piucks on Gorges, but he is spot on tonight. Josh looks like he is playing well, but the forward comes out with the puck 90% of the time.
