  1. Yep. Better than the Orr jump or lemieux borque deke. I watched it 5 times at least. Magic.
  2. Alberta provincial tax is more than zero. Used to be flat 10, now it's more. Nearly par with British Columbia. Yes, management is an issue, but there is no denying the tax advantage that Dallas, Vegas, Tampa, and Florida have.
  3. I know the state tax comes up a lot, but I can't help it. The numbers don't lie. The percentage of zero state tax teams in the league vs the percentage that make the semi final is enormous. Bob has been the difference. And Bob is a free player. You can pay 10% less when you don't have a 10% state tax.
  4. I hope they get bpa, regardless of position. Unless the consensus is that bpa is too close to measure.
  5. Yep. Let your on ice actions determine where you fit in the line up.
  6. Haha. Their defense, defensive forwards, and goaltending were very good.
  7. Ya but next to crank shaft and tuna, cube was an amazing nick name. So there's that.
  8. This team and 2011 Canucks are the only good Canadian teams to go to the final since 93. Maybe 04 flames.
  9. Barkov was unbelievable tonight. So many high danger chances foiled by his giant brain. Him and Draisaitl are my mvps so far, now that shesterkin is out. I don't notice a standout in Dallas. Maybe benn? Maybe Ottinger?
  10. Their worst start to a period, followed by 50 minutes of dominant play. Glad to see it. Draisaitl is a beast.
  11. It's fanatical, but my hatred of Kreider for the 2014 Price injury is so deep, that I will forever hate the Rangers
  12. I sort of hope you're right. Mcdavid, Draisaitl worked for it. But Dallas is deep. Really deep.
  13. Really enjoying the Bruins fans whining on social media over the punch to rat boys face and the failed coach's challenge. Your team is notorious is for being dirty. Your captain is a dirty rat who actually licked a man's face. It's so satisfying.
  14. Or he was never going to be more than he is. An nhler but a 3rd 4th liner. Maybe development, maybe not.
  15. I've been ranting about this trade since the day it happened. Danault and Lehkonen should both be Habs right now in my eyes. They are both such great defensive players.
  16. I don't want a top 10 pick next summer unless it's another team's. What do we need to do with the current team to start winning more? Reducing high danger chances against, is my first thought. Can associate coaching changes help this? A second offensive threat is my second. Can Dach stay healthy and be that 2nd threat beside newhook?
  17. Being the home team for me, I intended to cheerabout as much as I can for a non hab team. The Demko loss is a bad one.
  18. This sums it up for me. My hate of the bruins comes from decades (minus the last ten years) of intense competition against a worthy (dirty) foe. The hate of the leafs is based only on the media and their fan base. If I was hate cheering properly, I would be hate cheering against boston, because I truly hate many players who have played for them. Including rat boy and their president Neely. And a huge list of their alumni. I don't actually hate anyone on TO. I actually like Matthews. But I still want boston, who I have reason to hate, to beat the leafs just so the media and fans can be let down. They won't shut up, but at least I can revel in their pain.
  19. The standings don't show it, but I think this is a better team this year than last, and I expect an improvement next season. The habs won and lost a lot of one goal games this year. While there were blowouts, they were also very competitive against good teams. They are a 1 line team right now, so I don't expect it to be quick, but the top players are all on reasonable contracts, which should mean that there will be cap space to add talent or sign players who develope within the prospect pool.
  20. On the first point, discovery plus satisfied the wife. On the second, you are so correct. He's the best in the biz in my opinion.
  21. This is a good point. But the early reffing misses didn't help. Ghule goes off for interference. Next shift back, takes an elbow to the shops and nothing. But the Habs were outclassed and deserved to lose.
  22. His statement every year has been that if BPA stands out as better than others, you draft him, but if there isn't a clear cut BPA, you draft by need.
