  1. Not that I know of. But I'm sure it was Logan who told the Chinese that Jack was alive. I have a feeling that is what he meant when he kept saying, "Jack Bauer will be taken care of." So what happened to the group of people Logan was working with? Will Logan give them up? Are they going to get away with it? Who were they in the first place?
  2. Yeah, the letter "b" followed by a parenthesis is the symbol for that smily. Simple solution: when doing a list, use a period instead of a parenthesis
  3. You can search for members and search by post numbers.
  4. Who said anything about CTU being involved? It'll be strictly off the record and not endorsed.
  5. I was wondering what cliff hanger they were going to leave us with, damn. I was pretty good at guessing that episode. I had no idea what was going to happen immediately after Jack was arrested, but during the conversation with Marth, my Mom was wondering if she was wired somehow secretely, and immediately the idea that the Jack put something on his pen came to my mind. And as soon as Jack was abducted, I was pretty sure it was the Chinese. Now the question becomes, what will next season bring? How far will they fast forward? Will Jack escape during the offseason, or will that be the basis of next season? It would seem obvious that next season would revolve around rescuing Jack, but then again, I thought it was pretty obvious that season 3 should be about catching Palmer's would-be assassin . My idea: Have next season revolve around a rescue effort led by agent Curtis and of course aided by Chloe, Bill, and even the lady from Homeland. Would be interesting to have a season centered on some other characters, and would be a good way to introduce Jack's future associates.
  6. You sure it was a preview on the Season 4 DVD? Because it seems like season 4 started out with a big train explosion, so the terrorists could get a hold of the nuclear football.
  7. I think you overestimate draft hype in the states. To sum it up, in the last 10 years, the only hyped player has been Sidney Crosby. Other than that, I've never even heard of the top people until this time of year. The NHL draft gets no hype at all and will get even less this year since ESPN has cut back so much on hockey. Drafting an American won't put people in the stands in St. Louis. With a team that bad, unless the fan support is amazing, only winning games will put fans back in the seats.
  8. Will Aaron survive? Will Jack kill Logan? Will any other characters get killed? Who will be the next president? (Election should be soon in the show) Will Jack really let Henderson go? Only a few more days till the finale, can't wait!
  9. Haha, not the best tasting thing, but it grows on you. You could save yourself a lot of money if you just ate before the game. Surely you can take 4 hours without food. At least long enough so that you can wait until after the game, then stop at Wendy's. There you'd be able to get a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Nuggets, Fries, and a drink for the price of one dog. I just find that buying any concessions at sporting events to be one of the biggest ripoffs in the world. Only time I will buy a hot dog at a game is one dime a dog night, and they only ever do that at minor league baseball games. All in all, I'd rather go hungry for a couple hours than spend so much money on something that should be so cheap.
  10. This isn't Molson or Labatt I'm talking about here, it's Natural Light. It's the cheapest beer on the market down here, the beer of choice at half of college parties. That being said, it's not really as bad as you would think such cheap beer would be. We've run numerous blind taste tests, and people are unable to consistently tell the difference between Natural Light and Bud Light. Both come from Anhuesier-Busch, so our theory is that Natural Light is simply the stuff at the bottom of the Bud Light vats. They have a brewery in Columbus, and while I haven't been there myself, my friends who have toured noted that there were no Natural Light vats... Indeed I do. At least once every couple months one of the groceries here will run a "buy one get two free" special on hot dogs and bologna. Thus, this is the only time I ever buy hot dogs and bologna.
  11. You waste your money on food and drinks at games? You must be rich! I refuse to pay 4 bucks for a hot dog and 7 bucks for a beer. I can get 3 packs of hot dogs for 3 bucks during a good sale and a 24 pack of beer for 10 bucks.
  12. I will agree that Zednik no longer brings anything to the team, because we have better scoring forwards and his defensive play is not that great. With Bonk, however, I am sick of the criticism against him. He was not brought in to score goals and put up a lot of points. He was brought in to provide size and defence. He did both quite well, as we was a mainstay of the team's penalty kill. He struggled for the first half of the season playing with a bad groin, which ended up being torn. You can't expect a guy to produce on one leg. Once he was recovered, his defensive play was very strong, which is what is called for from a 3rd liner. Would we have liked more offense for him? Sure. Would Gainey have liked more offense? Sure. I'm sure even Radek himself would have liked to produce more. Thing is, he was not brought in to be an offensive force. I am more than happy with him as our center on the third line and I expect that his complete lack of offense this season was simply an aberation. Main point: He did not exceed Gainey's expectations, meaning he didn't live up to the expectations of the fans, whose expectations were far greater than Gainey's.
  13. An awesome point, just one of many reasons why overtime hockey in the playoffs is the most exciting thing in sports. Speaking of which, more sports should be like soccer. Their ads are awesome, since the play is continuous. They simply flash small ads beneath the score. Just think how much better watching sports would be with fewer stoppages. And going to events in person would be a lot better without TV timeouts.
  14. Not true, hehe. I was the 3rd vote and I put the US.
  15. Just wondering what you find fun about it. Personally, I can't stand having to watch a 60 second commercial break for every 15-20 seconds of gameplay. I find the game to be the fun part, not watching timeouts and commercials. This is just one of many things I have against the NBA. I think the referees are worthless and that they need a rule crackdown like the NHL. It's no fun watching guys travel all over the floor and push each other around. Basketball was not supposed to be a conctact sport, but thanks to Shaq, physical play has become the standard. Three big changes that would regain my interest in the NBA: 1. Crackdown on travelling 2. Teach the refs the difference between a charge and a block 3. Get rid of the insane pushing and shoving inside the paint.
  16. Is that why the last 2 minutes of the Cavs/Pistons game took the same amount of time as 10 minutes of the Sharks/Oilers game?
  17. Yes, but Carolina is the only one who has the chance of letting us say that only the last two Cup winners have kept us from it.
  18. Haha, I'll laugh if it was LINDEN_FAN who mentioned it over there. It's really funny how he likes to make fun of this site since we wouldn't put up with his crap. He's got to be one of the biggest jerks on the net.
  19. Wow, Barcelona is getting screwed. The ref blew the whistle when Arsenal's goalie fouled, even though Barcelona still had the advantage. Sure, he got sent off, but Barcelona should have had a goal instead. As if that wasn't enough, Arsenal did a great job of acting to win a free kick, allowing them to score on the resulting set piece.
  20. First of all, Tampa has stated that they will keep their Big Three together. Second, Tampa would never in their right mind trade Richards for Aebi and Ryder. Richards is the best player on their team. It will take more than a goalie and an inconsistent scorer to net a Conn Smythe winner. If you look at the beginning of this thread, people don't think they would even trade Richards for Aebi, Souray, and Ribs.
  21. Of course not, I was just saying he was more valuable than I thought he would be, being only 35.
  22. I agree 100%, and looking at his profile, he's not as old as I thought. I was thinking he was already 40 years old. In that case, I'd love to trade Zed for him. I'd take Brindy over Lang any day. Brindy is a hard nosed player, a great leader, and is great at faceoffs.
  23. I think he'd be an upgrade over a lot of our current D. I think he'd be perfect for a 2nd pairing with Souray. Commodore's strong defensive play would take some pressure off Souray and make him a much more effective player. As much as I loved Dandy and Bouillon in the playoffs, I'd still take Commodore over either one. I'd take him over Rivet also. What we need is a top notch center, and we aren't going to get that from Carolina. Staal isn't movind, Brindy is too old, and Weight is an UFA. If we were to trade with them as suggested, I think Commodore would be the best bet.
