  1. Maybe the Habs are signing all these guys so they can ice an AHL team on their own. Anyway, good to see Chipper get a deal and being in Hamilton. He's going to get plenty of playing time and he'll have the proper time to develop in the minors. This should come as good news to Bulldogs fans. Does anyone remember when management was pissed off about the Habs prospect in Hamilton earlier this season?
  2. I hope Emelin makes the team and gives a few (legal) crazy hits.
  3. FINISH THEM, NOW! AND GET YOUR GOD DAMN PLAYOFF SPOT BACK! This being said.... :ghg:
  4. I said he hit him good Emelin was always compared to Kasparitis and that he tries to emulate him on the ice. Good job :|
  5. Hope it's a punch. More importantly, I hope Varlamov recovers safely.
  6. ELIMINATE THE LEAFS ALREADY AND GET YOUR 8th ######IN SPOT BACK. Anything less than 4 points in this series is UNACCEPTABLE. :ghg:
  7. How about because the playoffs are awesome and their unpredictable. Not to mention the Habs have a chance of winning the Stanley Cup, you know, the freakin' thing everyone wants the Habs to win. You don't just play 82 games and realize "oh well the playoffs might not be a good idea, let's not make them are rely on a low draft pick." If the Habs were to do that you might has well kiss all your UFAs goodbye. Plus, if the Habs make the playoffs, UFAs are more interested in signing with the club.
  8. I'm pretty sure they all travel with notebooks. Easiest way to get in contact with family members in bulk sizes edit: typo
  9. Drunk in a hotel room in an away game and there's a computer in the room. Do the math. Don't forget, on away games players have curfews
  10. They probably come here when their all boozed up and want to laugh their ass off In all seriousness you know someone must come here and check, there's always one guy who's curious.
  11. Yes people care. People fly in to the city. Hotels get booked. People spend more money. Tourism goes up. I can go on and on but something as simple as a draft is worth fighting for.
  12. COMON GUYS, TWO POINTS YOU NEED! WIN THIS ONE! :ghg:

    24 - Day 5

HOLY CRAP WHAT A TWIST. Jesus how they hell do they come up with this stuff. If Prison Break wasn't intense enough the ending of 24 freakin' killed me.
  14. Aebischer in the ECHL? What have you been smoking? Aebischer against the Canes, he played great. Aebischer against the Pens, not great. It takes time for a goalie to adjust to a new team's defense. Rob Blake alone should be a big adjustment for Aebischer.
  15. WIN THIS F'ING GAME ALREADY - STOP PLAYING LIKE SHIT. YOU NEED TO WIN TO MAKE THE F'ING PLAYOFFS! :ghg:
  16. DON CHERRY IS WEARING A HABS HAT - WTF! TWIST OF THE YEAR?
  17. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=158841&hubname= Canadian Press 3/16/2006 4:15:10 PM TAMPA, Fla. (CP) - Veteran goalie Sean Burke of the Tampa Bay Lightning is out indefinitely after sustaining a broken finger in practice Thursday. The Lightning recalled Gerald Coleman from Springfield of the AHL to backup starter John Grahame. Burke's right index finger was placed in a splint Thursday. He will be re-evaluated by the Lightning medical staff next week. Burke is 11-9-3 this season with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage. Coleman, 20, went 13-17-3 with the Falcons this season with a 3.54 GAA and .890 save percentage. The 6-4, 205-pound goaltender spent the past three seasons with the OHL's London Knights, helping them to capture the 2005 OHL championship and the 2005 Memorial Cup. Wow that's going to hurt the team. It's not bad enough the Bolts had to go with two decent goalies, now they got a decent goalie and a no name farmer (no name in the NHL that is). This could be the break the Trashers need.
  18. Here's a little thing I found out on RDS, Markov's injury occured in the Olympics.
  19. :ghg: Aebischer will get his first win as a habs, I can feel it. GO HABS!
  20. Ah yes, Edmonton will never forget their beloved Mike Communist. As far as Zednik and his knees go, I agree with you Corvina, he should have taken some time off to heal but I got no idea how his knees are feeling better. He kept saying and he knew he wasn't playing his best but he's improved recently. My guess is he must be taking some good medication or something *insert Macaskill drug joke here*.
  21. Woah there, hold on to your tin foil hats and let's not speculate yet. Refs have been doing a very poor job lately. Let's hope it's that.
  22. Hmmm, here's something interesting. Boomer asked one of his kids to tape the ceremony because there was no way he could see the thing from Atlanta.
  23. Here is some Habs news that I just heard on Sport 30 on RDS that wasn't listed anywhere I looked. -Ribs has a ribs injury and is listed as day to day and should play Thursday (see JMMR's threads). -Markov is still uncertain for Thursday. He is having back spasms. -Richard Zednik came very close to be traded at the deadline and Bob Gainey received many offers for him. The one that was mentioned on television was that Phoenix offered Mike Comrie (didn't go into details). -Zednik has been playing all season with bad knees (having problems with his knees, didn't go into specifics) and he is feeling much better recently. -Neither Huet or Aebischer has been confirmed for Thursday against the Canes but Aebischer says he is ready to play with the Habs. He said that he was greated by the team when he joined the team. -The Habs obtained a total of 7 out of a possible 24 points when Markov is injured or doesn't play (3-8-1 record). -Bob Gainey obtained many offers for Souray at the deadline, no names were mentioned.
