  1. You cant be serious. So according to you its impossible to react with a kick save to direct the puck towards one of your own players. Funny how I recall seeing Jiggy do that all the way to the Cup finals with the Ducks that year. Guess I dont know goalies.
  2. Its pretty simple on this board to figure out who knows goalies and who doesnt. The people that bash Halak for poor rebound control are clueless. Sure, Halak lets out more rebounds than Price. I will completely admit that. Heres why: 1) Halak more often than not actually stops the 1st shot, hence theres more rebounds. 2) Halakis purposely sttempting to direct these rebounds at the Habs players nearby. Neither reason 1 or 2 makes Price better. Now for the usual "oh, Halak plays worse competition". Look at the standings, and think. As if Price only plays against SJ, Chi, and Wash.
  3. OK, so if a Habs dmen, say Hammer isnt doing exactly whats he's supposed to be doing, thats an invitation and excuse for Price to basically leave the crease, and when the goal is scored of course its Hammers fault? C'mon. Give me a break. Thats precisely the reason why that 1 goal was Prices fault. You cant completely ignore a scoring threat thats almost in the crease just because somebody isnt covering him. Thats exactly why Price should have been aware of the goal scorer instead of being completely oblivious to him "cuz it was Hammers guy". Excuses excuses. Seriously. The last goal wasnt Prices fault, its the pucks fault for not being the size of a beach ball. Fact: Price let in 3 soft goals tonight.
  4. Who's fault was that goal? Not Prices tho EH.
  5. wow, write it down everybody: Feb 10th, other team gets a penalty hauling down a habs in the Habs zone.
  6. I doubt it would matter, the glove wouldnt fit anyway.
  7. Why not put MAB on point, and OB by their net, and when the Bergerbomb goes off and goes near the other teams dmen just have OB smoke their dmen into their own goalie. What a great strategey. Obviously that cant be allowed. Just destroy anybody near the other teams net into their own goalie. But then again the Cheezicannes cheezed their way to a Cup win tripping the other teams forwards and using them to block their own teammates point shots. :puke:
  8. I forget where I heard it and I kinda thought it was silly when I heard it, but whoever said it was completely right: the old school net moorings need to come back. Theres simply to many guys going like a bat out of hell directly at the goalie. Its a win win scenario. You either score or maime the other teams goalie. Put the old imovable posts back in and that bunk stops instantly.
  9. Yep, something like that. It is fairly stupid they use the same term for both. What just happened should be called goalie obstruction.
  10. Good call, you cant allow players to knock dmen into goalies to create scoring chances.
  11. Not disagreeing, but he needs to stay between the god damn pipes and not slide past the far post. Price cheated way to far on the 1 side, leaving the other side wide open. You can dive from 1 side of the net to the other when theres a guy standing almost right in the crease and expect to make a save.
  12. w/e, Price cheated to the 1 side big time, leaving anybody on the other side with a wide open net. What a shocker they passed the puck to the guy with the wide open net. Price needs to stop putting teflon on his pads. He's always sliding way to bloody far to 1 side, right past the post.
  13. umm, no I'm 100% serious. Do you think a goalie will make many saves when theres a guy 1 foot off the right post when the goalies entire body is left of the left post? There were 2 Caps down low on the right. Either 1 had a wide open net because Price was out past the post on the left side.
  14. seriously, WTF Theyre good? Price played that terribly.
  15. If there was enough visible blood for a commentator to see then were was all this blood going? Apparently not on the ice. If there was enough blood to be seen from a distance then shouldn it be pooling somewhere? lazy26, Morrow was real classy too, he was the 1st to start waving and drawig the attention of the refs and the Habs trainers knowing Gorges was seriously injured.
  16. McGuiire also said praise for Price for a Monster save that hit the side of the net.
  17. MAB and Pouliot are out now? Sweet. This actually makes me happy. Hopefully now Gauthier can resign them cheap. I want Pouliot out longer, he cant be allowed to rack up points like this when he is RFA next year. The Habs desperately need great deals on some players and hopefully Pouliot can be signed for a lot less than he's really worth. Pouliot needs to be signed before he knows his true worth. Now all we need is for perferably Price (or Halak) to get injured. Why? cuz we need to see what Desjardins can do in the NHL. It would be suicide to trade either Price or Halak until Desjardins plays in the NHL.
  18. Thats to bad, that would have been interesting. OB must be feeling tough after his last fight, but is he really ready for Chara? Maybe we'll find out later.
  19. Jeesh, apparently somebody sure likes watching the BullHabs play.
  20. They CANT forecheck because theyre nto allowed to stay in the offensive zone except for 1 forward. The other two forwards have to come back at the central line... and wait there immobile. Completely negates our speed. I agree with what you are saying Kozed but I definitely agree with what Habsfan said more. Most of the time when the other team gets control of the puck in their own end the Habs just flee. Theres usually little resistance and they just conceed the majority of the ice surface to the other team. At some point the Habs need to figure out that all 5 players out on the ice at any given time dont all need to be skating back towards their own end. Somebody needs to step up and offer some kind of resistance and attempt a check. Thats the primary way that the Habs speed is being completely wasted. Personally I blame the dmen, but thats just because they arent doing it, but maybe the coach is telling them not to, I dont know. Either way both dmen dont need to skate back to past their own blue line ASAP when the puck is cleared from the other teams end. They are simply conceding too much ice by just skating backwards and not attempting to stop the other team. With nobody approaching the other team they can keep going towards the Habs end unobstructed and at full speed. If 1 of the Habs dmen would actually step up and attempt to stop this it would give the Habs speedy forwards chasing back that extra split second they need to catch up. The dmen never step up, and the speedy Habs forwards speed gets wasted. Not to mention the speedy Habs energy gets wasted having to constantly rush back all the way to their own hashmarks every time the puck leaves the other teams zone. I even beleive that at times the Habs forwards dont even bother trying to catch up because they know how far they need to skate and at what speed that they know they have no chance of catching them because their own dmen just continue to keep backing up. They wouldnt need to skate as far, and would have a much greater chance at stopping the other team if the distance they had to go is greatly minimized. This could easily make it look like they are "lazy" and have "a bad attitude" when they know trying to catch the other teams rush is futile so they dont bother to try.
  21. Ya, the way Cammy fell it definitely didnt look good. Oh well, most of the callups this year have been excellent. Hopefully that can continue, can can any Bulldog realistically replace Cammy's offense? Unfortunately probably not.
  22. Hmm, I unno, he might actually be onto something here. Bob should probably do the same with the dmen about making passes out of their own zone and talk to the goalies to see if the understand that they need to stop pucks. Not sure why so many people want to make a trade with Philly. They fleece the Habs in almost every trade with them and their team is actually under performing the Habs. The Flyers are a team that could possibly have more head cases with bad attitude/work ethic than the Habs. Let some other team be a sucker. No clue why you would want BGL to go after Redden. Pouliot definitely won the fight, and had he landed 1 of those wild lefts he most likely would have decisively ended the fight. I'm more impessed with Pouliot's fighting than Lats, and I've only seen him in 1 fight. rotflmfao. Thx! Dont underestimate Moen though, he has a crazy ass haymaker that pops the other guys helmet right off when he connects with it. Moen hasnt done that yet with the Habs but he did it quite a few times with the Ducks. I'm sure its only a matter of time. When does Komi get to push Moen again?
