Well Bouillon, Lang, Kovalev, Begin, Dandy aren't getting any younger or better. So IMO there wouldn't be a reason to re sign them. D'Agi can score at the AHL level, give him a chance with Taguay and Koivu. I agree about letting Akosty take Kovalev's spot, he is the closest thing to a sniper they have. He is also big, fast and can play physical. He needs consitnacy. Then you run into some problems with too many wingers. Also Maxwell and Chipchura may be able to jump up. Lapierre Laraque Kosto should be the 4th line. You have Hamrlik, Markov and Gorges, O'Byrne i beleive under contract. With Weber, Carle, Valentenko and the possibility of McDonagh knocking on the door. Again no reason to resign Dandy or Bouillon. Goaltending is set. They may want to pair Halak and a younger forward (pleks) example and try to move them for a big, young centre with some upside. Pouliott, Sheppard someone like that. It's time to turn the page on alot of the vets. The only thing they have proven over the years is they are somewhere between a #12 or number 1 seed. Yea, Koivu can do what he wants, i'm sure BG will give him the option to resign. Tanguay yes, as stated above. Komi yes. All the other UFA's can go and be easily replaced by the youth on the team. The big question for me is What to do with either Lats, Higgins and Pacioretty. They can't all make the team. Maybe moving on eof them this year with another younger player like Pleks (example) to get another good D. Boumeester or someone like that.

CC, i look at lazy as being what is going on on the ice. The habs don't draw penalties because they don't skate hard or work hard to get to the net, They hook and hold because they are not in position, hence, lazy. Losing battles is about work ethic most of the time, the habs continuosly lose 1 on 1 battles. Therefore, i think they are lazy. Either that or they have become a significantly slower skating team.

He is too slow, takes stupid penalties, turns over the puck alot. Wait a minute, are we talking about O'Byrne or Kovalev? Either way, they both need to give there head a shake. I haven't been impressed witrh O"Byrne much at all, he doesn't even use his size well. The D is becoming a huge concern, i think Price is the only one who gets the puck out at least half the the time anyway.

I don't know about fans or posters but that win didn't really do much for me, they got lucky which is good for 2 points i guess. The quick whistle saved them. Price was very good. I think Kozed means the vets on the team. SK as bad as he has played at times also hustles, is gritty and does create some offense. He needs to shoot more. O'Byrne is just really bad, slow footed, poor decisions. Weber couldn't do any worse. I know Weber will shoot the puck.

The way they are playing they may be closer to Tavares then the playoffs.

Yep, make some trades. Kovalev for starters. Maybe O'Byrne, Higgins , Pleks, Subban and a 2nd for Boumeester and Horton. (dreaming again). They need to get soem North South power players on D and forward.

Kovalev doesn't respond to punishment? I recall he was benched near the end of the year 2 years ago, was called out by his coach, the Gm had a long talk with him over the summer. What Happened? His best season in a long time. He should be benched with his play. If he doesn't like it, trade him. He is back to his usual invisible man bit. I agree with Fan puck on that one. Lats was one of the better Habs in most games and his reward is playing with Dandy and Begin. I'm not gettign that one. You can't have 3 play makers on the same line. Doesn't make sense.

I don't know, against Florida fans and posters were cheering him. When soem Panthers ran Price and started running around he put an end to it. GC needs to use him and give him a well defined role.

Well i do agree with your points on Laraque but GC isn't using him right. Every time Lucic came on the ice Laraque should have been the winger. It happened once. The reason he was so good last year is he played alot, he rode shot gun with Crosby and malkin when needed. If he plays 2 shifts a period against another 4th line it's just 2 fighters going at it. He needs more ice time, as i said earlier, he doesn't hurt you out there and doesn't take dumb penalties let him play. So i'll blame his lack of icetime, and that's on the coach.

Watch the rest of the series this year. I'm saying now that they beat them, the respect level has went down alot.

SK actually got moved up to the 2nd line last night in the 3rd. Kovy moved down with Lang. Sk played well last night, he atleast went into the corners and worked hard. I didn't have a problem with him last night. He was a D score on a team with a bunch of F's.

Goalies: I feel sorry for you, you get blamed everytime you lose, even though the team in front of has no clue how to play physical or in there own end. Can anyone give me some info on Maxwell. He was mentioned a couple of times in last nights broadcast as being a really good prospect. I really haven't heard that much about him. I beleive he is centre but that's all i know.

Haven't they threatend and done violence on other countries? What's the difference, because we are the US? You are giving othter countries a pass when they misbehave and only point out American flaws. The US isn't perfect, and like it or not the US is the world's police. The UN is worthless. If it wasn't for the US protecting other countries you would be speaking German right now, or worse deping on your religion or how you looked you would have been exterminated. it's amazing to me how quickly people forget all the good the US does and helps out other countries.
