This is going to be a hell of a series, if guys like Eller and Bourque continue to play well then we have a really good chance. if we go back to being a one line team with some grit in the bottom half we lose. plus all our D have to stay healthy which is not a given

where was this Bourque during the season I just hope he stays healthy until Galchenyuk comes back

This series will come down to coaching adjustments.....MT's game plan was better tonight, but I think Cooper will make adjustments and Tampa will come out with an improved game on Friday. I am still weary of trusting MT in a long series because he has a hard time adjusting his strategies. But then again I expect a much better game from Price on Friday so it may work out.

ya it doesn't sound too promising does it? I also read somewhere that his wife and kids are still in Buffalo....thats gotta be hard on him, and bad for his chances to stay in Montreal. Montreal in the spring is a great city and may have persuaded him and his family to give it a try for the long term.

wow you just blew my mind...I had no idea thats the way it was going to work this year... so there is no chance of us playing Philly in the first round if we finish top three? do the wild card teams automatically play eachother?

Philly and Toronto both worry me heading into the playoffs, and there is a good chance we meet up with one of them if we end up in a top three spot. Wouldn't a Habs\Leaves series be great tho. I've said it before but if MB can sign Vanek and somehow get another top 4 d-man we would be in the contenders category for a long time. Because Seeing Boullion's name beside Subban's reminds me of how fragile our back end can be.

It would really be great if we could lock him up....he really is worth a big contract in my opinion. 8.5 mil for 8 years, just do it and let everything else fall into place. In the off-season try to find a reliable top four guy to play with Subban, plug in our young guys as they become ready and we have ourselves a cup contender for years. +1 I love this Forum, best one I've found. I am very curious to see what the line combinations will be. MB has done his part now its up to MT to make it work.....reading that makes me a little bit nervous. If MT doesn't want to split up Pleks and Gio maybe a combos like this Pac DD Gally Chucky Plex Gio Briere Eller Vanek Prust White Moen/ Weiss Just keep coming in waves, who do you shut down? I think that Briere and Vanek could be magic ......man I'm so excited....reminds me of The kovalev days

has anybody actually heard any new rumors lately? the last thing I heard was the Parenteau thing...

I would also like to see significant moves in the near future.....but you cant make the team better without using/loosing assets. What are you willing to give up? Andrigettho/Bourque for Parenteau? it would be nice to get better by dealing our older vets but I don't see to many Mike Milburys or Jay Feasters around anymore. Personally i could see Markov + a pick moving for an talented forward and then Bourque + a prospect like Collberg for a Dman. And you can bet that one of those acquisitions will be french (not that it matters, just saying). But even with those moves will we be better? Thats why Bergevin is in charge, not guys like us. One thing you can count on is that we will not "Win" any deal without giving up top prospects.

Its time for some serious moves....after PK our D is pathetic and our Offence is too streaky and small. IF we make the playoffs we are in for a short series, it really doesn't matter who we play we will lose. I just took a look at the standings: Pittsburgh Boston Tampa Montreal Philly Detroit Toronto NY Rangers Washington Carolina Columbus Jersey florida Buffalo the only teams I feel we can beat in a playoff series are Buffalo, Jersey, and maybe the Rangers. Watching our games lately, its a miracle we are top four. That being said if Price played last night it would have been a much closer game

ya I'm getting impatient too.....anyone who watches hockey even casually can see we need a better top four Defense. There has got to be a team out there that has a top four D-man for Gionta or Briere and a First.

Personally I think there are many good prospects already in our system. I am not suggesting moving any prospects we already have (unless we get blown out of the water with a deal). I am suggesting it would be advantageous to find help for our team now by packaging players (Like Eller or Briere or Gorges) and picks for a upgrade in certain areas. I don't know who we should target specifically but if we keep waiting for help to come from in the organization we will miss our window. Kulikov looked pretty good tonight by the way...

I think we can win a round or two with some tweaks...I'm not suggesting we sell for oldtimers, I think there are some players out there that may be available for players plus picks that would be a substantial upgrade for the next few years.

we need a serious upgrade on the back end. We may make the playoffs but we are out in the first round for sure...i cant imagine that Tinordi or Beaulieu would be worst than what I just saw. I think we should trade all or our high picks in the upcoming draft for upgrades now!!!!
