Lecavalier played great in the playoffs. He'd bring WAY more to the ice than Gomez does.

I love Gomez the guy, but Gomez the hockey player would probably best be suited elsewhere. Trade him and try to sign somebody. If not then give the role to Eller and let him develop. My outrageous predicition... Tampa Bay signs Stamkos to a huge contract and has to move some salary. Montreal moves Gomez and brings Lecavalier home. Just a hunch...

I'm hoping Martin puts Eller with Pyatt and White and has them play against the Ryder line. They've done it with Pleks against the Lucic line, now they need to start stopping the line that is hurting the most. This is the BIGGEST game of the series... IF Boston wins then they realize 1) They can win in Montreal and 2) are 1 game away from erasing their horrible start. IF Montreal wins then they take a HUGE lead and probably put the Bruins in a season over mindset. GO HABS GO!!!!

I think what I want to see early is Ryan White fight somebody. Just to send the message that we're not going to be messed with. And if the Habs could score first... big game from the Eller line... C"MON!!!!

Great WIN!!! I expect better performances in Game 2 from a few Habs... Eller looked a bit nervous, Cammy just missed getting a couple good chances off his stick, and Pouliot had some favorable matchups that I think he'll exploit. Great game though. Price was awesome, Gomez was the best player on the ice, and PK Subban is just incredible. Big game on Saturday.. score 1st and it could take the wind right out of the Bruins sails. GO HABS GO!

AK bloked a Chara shot and limped off. White shouldn't have gotten a penalty. Two players push each other and 1 gets a penalty. Even on the replay it looked like the ref was calling them both but only White got a penalty. Brutal.

AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I drove 7.5 hours to see this game. Got cheap tickets off ebay and decided to take the wife to her first Montreal road game. Some observations: Gomez tries to be WAY to fancy and turns the puck over a lot. Just not enough intensity with him. PK Subban is awesome. Looks like Guy Lafleur out there. The whole team kind of lagged in this game. Pleks and Cammy were too lazy. Not enough tough work. Seriously, our best forward in this game was Lars Eller. He brought it every shift. Obviously, made a couple small mistakes, but was hitting the ice hard. very impressed. Anyways, a VERY positive note... Met Pk Subban in St. Louis. He was getting coffee. Signed my PK jersey and gave the wife a hug. Such an awesome guy. Made the trip worth while. Dropped the jersey off today to get framed. I love it!

I'd pick up Dumont for a year if it meant Ryan Ellis was coming with him. Something like A.Kost and Weber for Dumont and Ellis... Dumont might actually look good beside Cammy and Pleks.

ARGH!!!!! Why start Auld in this game? All the panelists said it last night and I am saying it today... This is a team (Toronto) that is trying to catch up to us in the standings, and we put in our backup? I know the boys didn't play well in front of him but you have to think the decision to sit Price plays a bit of a factor on the mental readiness of the team. C'mon Coach... put your BEST team out there.

I have no source or information, but I do have a strong feeling that PG is done. I'm just thinking that the asking price is going to be too high for a top 6 forward. Hope I'm wrong, but just a feeling!

I like it! Dawes is just a cap throw away for Atlanta and I'm not sure he'll see much ice time for the Habs, but Sopel is a decent pickup that will fill in nicely.

I might be the only one who thinks this... but how do the Habs not make an offer of a 6th round pick and get Kovalev. I know he takes games off, but when he wants to play he can be a dominant player. Look at that Boston series when he took the slash and let them have that game, he became a force afterwards. I just think he'd of been a nice addition to a team needing offense. And no roster player going the other way... A.Kost - Eller - Kovalev??? Could have been an exciting 4th line.

For a 5th Round Pick. Decent I guess, hopefully he plays better now that he is healthy!

Ek's reporting that the Flames and Habs are close to making a trade... probably means nothing, but I wouldn't mind a couple of their players and I'm sure Cammy has some knowledge as to who he would like to see join him in Montreal. Could be AK's on the way out... just a guess though.

Cammy - Pleks - A.Kost Eller - Gomez - Gionta Moen - Laps - Pouliot Pyatt - Boyd - Halpern I know I am going to hear it about Eller being on the 2nd line.. but I'm guessing he has a huge camp, earns his way on to the 2nd line, and stays there as he compliments the 2 G's well!
