  1. Hey V! Your picture messed up the whole boards. I can't even see the text. So please change it. And having team mates fighting on practice can never be a good thing.
  2. I hope that Dykhuis will play and that the reason is that someone is intrested. Habs are paying this guy 1.7 million dollars to play and what is he doing in Hamilton? I remembered when we got Dykhuis that I tought that it was pretty good to bring a solid blueliner. I mean he was a part of the team that made it all the way to the finals versus Detroit in 96. But right now, all I see is a useless body. Maybe he can teach something to the prospects in Hamilton but I think that there's better options that costs less then 1.7 million.
  3. Wouldn't be cool if we traded Hossa for Senators pick that would give us Ryder? Errr...
  4. Not even top 25? Hmmmm... Put todays Forsbergs in Orr's Bruins and I think that the history would have been different. But I can agree with Mario. He is awesome. But I just migh think that Forsbergs is a more complete player. In my opinion Fedorov and Forsbergs are the two most complete.
  5. Am I just blinded by the fact that Peter Forsbergs is the best swedish hockey player ever (Sorry Börje Salming) or is Peter Forsberg the greatest of all time? I asked myself why Peter Forsbergs is better than Wayne Gretzky (who is common knows as the best of all time). And here's what I came up with. 1. Gretzky had his best during the 80's in Edmonton. But the game was different then. Nobody touched Gretzky and goaltenders level was weak from time to time. 2. In the second half of his career he didn't dominate the same way he did in the early years. Gretzky was a fantastic hockeyplayer but I wonder how well he would have done in todays hockey. Forsberg is the complete package. He does it all. And what if Forsberg would have been 15 years older? Off course it's impossible to compare. But I'm just saying that Forsberg is a heck of a player. Maybe the best. Or have I just insulted alla Rocket Richard fans?
  6. Maybe. But Markov hasn't been the same since Petrov left. And we need another physical blueliner. That's why I would call it an even trade.
  7. When I say that we need a defenceman that can move the puck I suggest that Andrei Markov is the only one that's really good at doing this. Brisebois knows the theory but simply can't. Souray? From what I've seen this season he's a threath every time he comes in the offensive zone, but is it really Sheldon that transports the puck? I'm talking Brian Leetch type of player. A players that makes the time in the offensive zone more common than the the time in the defensive... (Could anybody read that?) And if that trade was done, I think it would have been for Andrei Markov. Salary match. Even trade I say.
  8. I would love to have Denis Gauthier. But I don't really see him fit in. He's shooting left. And so is both Souray and Markov. Would that mean that Gauthier would be on the third pair? And he is a stay-at-home blueliner. And I have always said that we need a puck-carryer to beat teams that still uses "the trap".
  9. Agree. Lines, trades, prospect and free agent signing... Speculation-material.
  10. Maybe it was my (poor) english that made that state sound harder than it was... It just came to my mind that all my own speculation about the Habs isn't what i expected. So I didn't meant that you are going wild...
  11. I think it's totaly unecessary to speculate in next years line and so. Last year many was predicting that that Perezhogin, Balej, Higgins and Ward would be on our top lines. And what happend? Michael Ryder came from nowhere and has been on one of the two top-lines since season started! My point is that's is impossible to speculate in prospects. Some will make it and some will fail. And maybe the one that we suspect will be our new favourite the least in the one to make it. But it's not panic-time yet. We are in the re-building phase and Bob Gainey seems to be a Glen Sathers direct opposite. Calm and calculating. But I think we will see a one to three new players if we are still in the playoff race by trading deadline. I think Gainey will add a commig UFA to bring some physical play since it's likley we'll have to face a big Philadelphia, Toronto or New Jersey in the first round if we can keep it up.
  12. Espen Knutsen plays for Vålerenga i Norway nowadays...
  13. 3 losses in a row now... Bad. After coming from such a nice serie it's hard to only have scored 2 goals in 3 games. And maybe it's a hint of what Canadiens have to do in order to improve the team. 1. We are being pushed around by bigger teams. Both the leafs and Devils won because they are bigger and stronger. 2. We may have the depth, but not that many tops. If we wan't to win more than 2 games in a row all of our leading players have to play at their level. Koivu and Sourray has been cold. Markov and Zednik can do better. And when that occur we lose games. I think the Habs needs two more physical players and maybe a russian-puck carrying defenseman with the ability to keep a safe blueline.
  14. I don't think O'Neil would be cheap. Leafs seems to be intrested. And when both Habs and Leafs are in the race, price goes up.
  15. Interesting point. Rangers could really be boosted by Jaromir Jagr. Could, that is... But let's face is. Jagr is a more talanted hockey player than Anson Carter. And who know's what more desperate things Sather could do before trading deadline. Atlanta on the other hand will have Heatly back. But Atlanta lack playoff experiense. But so does many of the Habs players... Tampa is a really good team, but maybe they aren't that good. But the most important thing must be to MAKE the playoffs. And that means that the Habs needs to fight for every point in every game. So... If we wan't to go far in the play-offs we will probably have to face the sens or the leafs sooner or later.
  16. 7-0 to Sens. And half game left! The sens have a record going?
  17. Close game tonigt. I have a feeling that we will start another 4-1 series tonight. 4-2 Habs tonigt. Zednik, Bulis, Perreault 2. (I wish)
  18. Respect to NHL if that's the case. Thats what difer the dumb from the smart - The ability to think different today compared to yesterday.
  19. I hope all of the ends up in Rangers. Then we won't have to worry about stars from Caps going to a team in the east. There's a curse over Rags and it spells Sather.
  20. Devils defense is awesome. They don't let the other go to attack. But their weakness is at the same time their strenght. They have one of the most solid goaltenders. A set of blueliners that doesn't give the other team any ice to play their game on while their forwards uses the few chances they get. And who would have tought that this streek would go on? 12-6 in the last period shows that the Habs didn't gave up. Good morale!
  21. I think that this only proves one thing. Glen Sather is afraid of losing his job. He put all of his trust to Jaromir Jagr. A player that has probably seen his best days. Rangers are now a team with (almost) only overpaid bums. Glen Sather has drowned this team. I hate them, I am sure many others does as well. Why? The salary issue is Rangers fault (part of). And they have taken many players and destroyed their careers.
  22. Agree. I think we should trade Dackell and Kilger. Sundström is a UFA next season. I think he will return to Sweden if he doesn't get a decent offer. Juneau will probably calls it a career. Quintal? I don't know about it, but I guess this will be his last season. Perreault. Well you know what I think. Keep him! Give him time on the power play and let him play like a offensive threat on a third line with Bulis and a big defensive center. So... If I had the chance to decide, this is what the roster would look like heading into the playoffs: Zednik - Koivu - Ryder Dagenais - Ribeiro - (What Kilger and Dackell could land) Bulis - Perreault - Sundström Juneau - Begin - Ward Komisarek - Souray Brisebois - Markov Rivet - Quintal
  23. Don't know if Satan could bring anything to the team that we don't allready posses. As I see it, Richard Zednik is the same type. And 5.25 million is to much. If we are going to add players it has to be defensive big guys.
