I want to know what all the excitement in Toronto was about this buch of oldtimers. Seems to me that if your starting lineup can dress for a hasbeens game you are in trouble. Let's see how many of these guys are around next season (which is probably 17 months away. I say half are retired, a quarter go elsewhere as free agents and the laughs are left with no decent draft picks for awhile, a substandard non-playoff team and bad memories of 2003-2004 :clap: Maybe the thought of their future is what lead the idiots to party in the streets after round one. Best they will do for a long long time.

Well Tampa has 2 americans on their roster. Makes them a good ole USA team lol. I say if it gives the americans something to be proud of let them have their little moment. They are getting their butts kicked in Iraq, are hated by a large percentage of the world and have a population which is armed to the teeth and need only a political snafu such as the start of another losing war (oops they already started that) to lead them to an eventual government overthrow and anarchy. My wifeish is a sens fan and I told her after the 3rd goal in game 7 that Lalime would not be back for the 2nd period, or ever again as a Sen and that Martin was packing his bags. It was a no brainer.

I like these lines except for Ryder not seeing enough ice time on the 3rd line. This is probably speculation from the Montreal media (nothing new). They go to a practice, see the lines Jullien is working and take it from there. It isn't always the same lines come game time. As a coach you have to try lines in practice to see how they play together. You may see these lines in the game, but I expect the lines to be the same lines as in the Leafs game. No doubt he would like Dag back with ribs, but ryder is doing so well how could you take ice time from him? If anything look for Perrault to move off the 1st to 3rd, Kov to 1st, Dag back on 2nd, but not yet, I'd give it awhile. :ghg:

And the beer? One difference I believe is in our laws re. assault. If I am not mistaken, in your country a person has to bring charges of assault against an assailant where as here the cops can lay the charge without a complaint being filed. I also spent lots of time in the states working and found quite a few decent americans, one on one, it is when they get together that they tend to show the my country right or wrong mentallity. If you know your history you will be able to relate alot of what is going on in the usa to the great empires of rome, germany and britain the belief that they have the moral obligation to police the world. Actually, no, it was a campaign slogan for Polk in 1844 running for US presidency. It referred to expanding the boarder above Oregon to lat 54 40 min cutting Canada off of the Pacific coast. It never came to pass as the Yanks were still wiping thier wounds from the butt kicking of 1812 when a bunch of drunk canucks sacked washington and burnt down the white house, got bored and went home. Now it has become a number to remind us Canadians that the Yanks ain't now and never were our friends, just bullies to the south that brew weak beer, have on going civil wars in all their inner cities, and basically just aren't nice, intelligent people.
