Well... Sending Leclair didnt mean much.. as I heard he didnt play THAT well for us. So that means Recchi, Leclair and Desjardins for Zednik. ATM. I like that trade but when it happened those guys had like 5-10 years left. Id stick with Zednik over those guys today.

No... he wasnt a part of the Leclair - Recchi deal. We got Zubrus FOR sending Recchi to Flyers in 98 (I think)

Trade Ribs, Resign Koivu for the rest of his career and sign Lecavalier for his career. TOP center Lecavalier and 2nd line center Koivu. Captain Koivu stays a habs and all are happy (except maybe Ribs). Btw. We get another good Dman for Ribs (not Lidström but maybe a Kim Johnsson-kind of Dman) Go for it Gainey... They cant keep up with the skating of Bouillon and Dandeneault and will look stupid in the offensive zone without the puck when the habs go 5 players on 2 slow huge Dmen that cant keep up. :ghg:

Watch and see Bouillon score 10+ goals and 20+ assists this season. And then remember who said before the season that he would become great with the new rules.

I havent listened to Slayer alot but its old Bay Area trash isnt it? And you are right.. there are LOTS of bands not mentioned but if I start mentioning my favourite bands I bet u guys wouldnt have heard any of them. Ryder played very well in sweden last season.. Better than Trent Hunter did in the same league if u ask me. I think he is the real thing. BTW.. Ive said it before and I say it again... I think the deal is great. Dont know why the Russians and Czechs dont like it. Get more money for their lost players than before IF the player is sent to the minors they get EVEN more max 60 players + the minor league rule = fewer talents will leave europe and stay with their motherclubs. whats NOT to like about the deal? ps. correct me if im wrong...

I'd rather lose to the penguins than to the Leafs. Im quite sure we should make the playoffs with this team and somehow I think the Leafs will have a hard time to make it. And Im really happy that we havent made TOO many changes. Feels good to almost have the same team as the 03-04 playoffs.

Theo +Ryder for Loungo + Bouwmeester? Id do that ANY day. Loungo was the only reason the Panthers won ANY games the last couple of years and Bouwmeester is a future stardefenceman. Theo is great and Ryder is REALLY good too but if we can get a 21 year old star defenceman AND Loungo Id do that any day.

Selanne: No thanks. He's past his prime. Sure it would be "nice" for Koivu and Selanne to re-unite, but how successful would they be together? Honestly. I'm not interested at all. Whats with everybody saying "Reunite" when it comes to Selläne and Koivu? They've only played together a few games in the finnish national team. NEVER in a club team.

I somehow think this deal make sence... Picking a Goalie 5st overall along with Danis and Huet I think we can have a new GREAT goalie in a year or two. Huet = Hackett A Goalie that can be our number 1 until Danis or Price is ready to take over. Lecavalier and Kubina fills all our needs outside the net. We might even sign a 1st Goalie. Joseph or Burke for 2 years. I like this deal and ill be happy with our draft pick if it happens... Go for it Gainey. too bad it is just a rumour and likely wont come true.
