  1. I thought Staubitz seemed a good goon when with Habs.
  2. I really could care less about how many points for this or that, but simple elimination of goofy shootout, through any manner, would make me happier.
  3. Wish someone would remind Bourque that he is larger than DD and actually allowed to physically contact the opposition. Eller is now 28th best centre for FO%, which is a huge leap for any top six Hab centre for awhile. Diaz a shot blocker, smart play. Markov just seems to be playing better than ever. DD is still a deadweight and playing him 21 shifts (when Plekanec and Galchenyuk played 23 & 22), is simply a killer, but they keep running him out at end of periods and giving him every chance to do something, but at the moment it is costly, especially I think to Bournival who would benefit from a few more shifts. Briere looked OK. Galchenyuk seemed around the net a lot and looks good on the PP. Budaj again played solid.
  4. Bozon still seems to be "uninvolved" in physical aspect and floating a bit too much, in what I have seen of him this year. But if he can start producing, Kootenay will be a bit happier about trade. Thrower vs Shinkaruk should be a bit one sided, but super to see Thrower back already. Did McCarron play OK? Reway still chipping in and he and Gregoire on same 1.4ppg pace. Fucale is winning and sounds like playing well. Bennett still very quiet in Michigan, weak team this year?
  5. 7 d-men? Did Habs play with 7 d-men any last year? Murray brings something no other d-man does, Boullion is mediocre at all (but I still think he is still "OK" 3rd pairing character guy). But Yemelin will be top 4 and eat 20minutes or more, but hopefully not pushed into that for a while. And Diaz -Murray seems better pairing than Frankie and Diaz.
  6. Maybe is just a rumour and not being considered, but would be an interesting swap, or as main part of a bigger deal dont you think?
  7. I have little issue with Pacioretty's production, but Kane also a 30 goal player and only 22 years old, quite comparable salaries/contracts, so don't think either team would risk much and Kane is more "gritty" player.
  8. Interesting, Kane might be a super addition. Could be good for both teams (with Kane seemingly a bit out of sorts there).
  9. I never have liked and has absolutely nothing to do with Habs track record, just is a goofy way (thank you soccer) to end a team game. 4-4 and 3-3 OTs are fine and simply a tie after 60minutes is also fine, but don't know if owners will go back to that, American fans don't like ties (NBA play overtime, NFL same and MLB likewise).
  10. I was a lead footed defensive d-man and was never a rah rah player and maybe averaged couple goals/year, so if just congratulate the player or two who set you up, that was bout all I thought was necessary or needed.
  11. 100% Sarcasm? Or he actually is a good young player on a very very bad team?
  12. they did; they got a point when shouldn't of and come April it may be a big deal to both Habs and Tampa; who will fall in standings, same as Habs would if Subban or Price ever was injured.
  13. could be? But worth a gamble don't you think, habs are strong in d-pipeline and Oil are deep in young offensive talent and getting another top pick for sure. So Beaulieu or a Tinordi must be attractive to McTavish and a good fit, being darn near NHL ready and probably an impact d-man down the road?
  14. I wouldn't mind seeing him with Habs and alongside Galchenyuk, but you could be correct?
  15. Tampa announcers were (understandably) a bit pissed and ref simply waved off goal as if it simply didn't cross the line and instead of admitting such, pulled the interference card out of his... But they won as they should of, so is all good.
  16. I think it is also a fan safety measure after one was killed i think wasnt that (partly) the origin? Penalty is fine by me, I havent heard any players complaining that is an issue to be addressed? And (almost) anything that promotes more offense is a good thing dont you think? And the Habs survived a 5 on 3 in OT which was quite something.
  17. I really liked the game, was fun and entertaining and was easily worth it just to watch Price, he seemed very motivated and jumps on loose pucks like never before and makes hard saves look easy, etc etc. PK Subban had a super game, ton of rubber fired at net and when he was on the ice Habs were easily the better team and vice versa. Not sure why don't see any positive comments on his 28minutes of solid play? Gorges-Murray blocked 9 shots and did their job. The kids looked good, would of liked to see more of Bournival. And maybe just maybe will be a bounce that gets Briere going and not a chance DD would of been in the crease at that time to deflect in.
  18. Really like that rule (refs cant screw that one up much and should be cut and dry call), don't care if intentional or not, not sure why so many say it not fair? Doubt would hear one complaint if Tampa air mailed the glass with puck. Markov was pressured and desperate to clear puck and screwed up.
  19. Would Kulikov or Shawn Matthias be a plus to add from Florida? I don't know much about them. Aint happening but; Yakupov would command what from Habs? Maybe Beaulieu and Pateryn? or Beaulieu and a 1st and 2nd pick?
  20. Well Bozon finally had a good game and was 2nd star, maybe he is getting used to new team?
  21. playing disciplined anyways well they were
  22. When an "expert" like McGuire declares him (or Nate) rookie of year, 10 games into season. But, I would agree Jones is a super looking rookie and he or MacKinnon are good picks to win award. But me or a monkey would pick LeBron James-Kevin Durant to win MVP award and likely be correct, so McGuire still seems a questionable "expert" and very annoying to listen to (thank god TSN got rid of him).
  23. Like I said, not real complaint just my take on it, just can do without it and just find goofy. And the whole glove tapping thing with bench thing after every goal, is also very lame. Just my opinion, I can do without most showboating, if makes it more entertaining for you and many fans, then super, that is main thing the players are paid for, so don't mind me and my very conservative take on it.
  24. I wouldnt say i would complain, but not fond of most goofy celebrations in general. If a meaningful goal, sure. But i would much prefer a more mature/professional, Plekanec, Datzyuk, Zetterberg, Sakic, Gionta, Bourque, Markov type, low-key is perfect by me on 99% of goals. But i am glad "low-five" thing is gone, seemed sort of unprofessional, or more like NFL-Soccer over the top crap.
