  1. Next fall who will likely be added to farm system? Will it be all of these (then to be) 20+ year olds in Bennett, Thrower, Vail, Hudon, Crisp, Nevins, Bozon, Collberg be pros? and de la Rose ( as a 19 year old) come over? Can all these kids even be signed (I know some are already) and added to Hamilton/Wheeling?
  2. The truculent Conner Crisp came from Cole trade also.
  3. Shouldn't be hard for Habs to get up for Saturdays game. Am curious to see if they will (can) skate with the Hawks and slow down their offense?
  4. in 2nd period Vail has both Spitfire goals. He gets all 3 goals in a 8-3 loss and now is 13th in OHL scoring.
  5. Agree to disagree and yes he has matured 'some', but 'not there yet' and if he had of simply dropped the gloves and took an instigater he wouldnt of sat, but a childish tantrum cheap shot is what it is.
  6. I know I know sir, fans are fans and just my point of view, that's all. And if I remember correctly, Bowman was very strict with every young player in Montreal and like Therrian was calculated with every move and motivation tactic (and was disliked by some/many of his players for the way he toyed with them, if I am not mistaken)
  7. And how many times has Habs come back this year in 3rd period with Subban playing? What is more important, a slim chance of winning 1 game in Jan or setting example of selfish actions being untolerated, for long term team/personnal development? I like looking more long term and used to curse Martin for letting Cammalleri-Gomez play 20minutes/night with zero effort and no benching, so i prefer Therrian's approach and agree with the move. I know is no clear cut right/wrong way to 'coach' , but a 10 minute benching isnt end of world.
  8. overeaction. PK made a hot-headed, selfish, ill advised move and sat for 10minutes, what is big freakin deal! Cant a coach coach without the torches and pitch-forks coming out?
  9. Got zero problem with short benching, was a bone-head move Subban has pulled numerous times, but I (most) know dick-all what goes on behind closed doors (other than edited versions of 24CH) so who can really cant say was incorrect move or not? Someone was wondering why Yzerman had some reservation about Subban and why Subban wasn't listed as top 4 d-man, this example is why, Weber/Bowmiester/Pietroangelo/Kieth don't lose their cool and simply skate away from scrums like that.
  10. Could be worse, you could be the builder of Red Wings/Rangers/Leafs version 13-14 (Or Oilers, Flames, Jets. Sens eh?).
  11. Bozon seems to be doing well with Reinhart gone. 3points yesterday and 8 points in last 4 games.
  12. Stats I think are facts. But, if you want to cherry pick 1 stat and say, 'look see, he isn't as good as Subban' then what can I say? Can you name the top 4 d-men on Nashville or any besides a 19 year old rookie named Jones? Weber aint exactly working with a super supporting cast this year. Even Montreal has more goals than Nashville.
  13. Czechs skipped on numerous NHLers, like Hemsky ? 100% politics I would assume?
  14. No one can argue with Keith, he is just a super all-round d-man (and plays safe even under pressure) and Weber is a solid big strong defensive d-man with a huge shot (and his shot through the net in last Olympics wasn't likely forgotten by mgmt). Bowmiester-Pietroangelo are a super shut-down pairing, etc. But line-ups on paper are just that and their play will dictate who play how much and with whom. I wouldn't get too worked up over media placements and Subban played a bit role in his 1st world juniors also and his skills still stood out.
  15. Really, I don't remember him being called up this year? He hasn't been has he?
  16. Jets lost 4 in a row, which players are they gonna turf for pick/prospects? Oilers simply are horrible defensively (161 goals against) and battling Sabres for 30th place, when will they make a move for defense/leadership? Flames got spanked 6-0 yesterday, Hudler or Glencross gonna be swapped by Burke? Would either be an upgrade for Habs?
  17. Bang on; Dumont, Blunden or LL will play a small role, but Blunden seems to be best fit for a checking role and Dumont maybe is best 'energy' guy. I would be curious to see how LL could do with Habs, but 6-7minutes of ice may not be much of an audition?
  18. Well, if Price is going I guess he might as well play. I think the exhibition games and first 2 'real' games are cakewalks (Norway and some other chump), so likely 2 goalies will split a few games and with Luongo injured (I know still lots of time till then but), Smith maybe has a shot? Or could be starter is already nailed down?
  19. Maybe niether one even plays, there are 3 goalies to pick from?
  20. Dumont or Blunden seem to be best to call up options (to me anyways), but I almost think LL will get a crack at filling in for Bournival's reduced role and Bournival get an increased workload with Eller as Galchenyuk's replacement (which is simply an extra 2 minutes/3-4 shifts/game)?
  21. Galchenyuk is on exact same offensive pace as Taylor Hall/Eberle in their 1st full year. So, maybe it is just your expectations are what he isn't meeting and seems is on a normal development curve for a talented kid. Plus he is only 8th in forward icetime, so is just getting 3rd line minutes, not top 6 minutes and is still 3rd in forward scoring. But still it sucks for sure.
