  1. And hold on to win 2-1 http://theahl.com/game-summary?game_id=1016121
  2. Pateryn's confidence must be pretty low, he looked pretty bad last game with couple very soft lazy turnovers. Oh well, hope Hanley does well, he seems to be a very good skater and quicker than Pateryn for sure.
  3. TSN 690; Radulov is in with Galchenyuk & Byron
  4. Hudon-Plekanec-Gallagher DD-Max-Shaw together in pre game Carr may be the one out if Radulov is in.
  5. Lead foot Markov still very good in offensive zone, 10pts in his 7 gm point streak. Other end of ice is a different story.
  6. I might as well add to that jinx, stats poached from Reusch via Boone: "Ron Reusch notes: The Canadiens have registered eleven consecutive wins vs. Toronto including season sweeps the last two seasons. The last time Toronto defeated the Canadiens was Jan. 18, 2014 at the Air Canada Centre. The last time the Canadiens lost to Toronto at the Bell Centre was the 2013-14 season opener. Since then the Canadiens have won seven in a row outscored the Leafs 25-11."
  7. I heard that the humble ex-Habs d-man came out with some goofy (as Boone called it) 'narcissistic infomercial'.
  8. Just realized it will be Toronto announcers for todays broadcast, ugggg!
  9. 13 shots in 1st period, but give up a PP goal to Kapanen and down 1-0 start of 2nd
  10. Love the Eller comparison, hadn't thought of that.
  11. Would love to see Hudon get his 1st goal, 3a in 4 NHL games is a good showing and he played a good game vs Carolina. He even had decent amount of icetime 13:39 and 1+minutes on the PP yesterday.
  12. Seems many still think he has more upside and maybe he does; but, I have my doubts. He is tough enough, but dosent hit. He can really skate well, but dosent do much with that. He is also good handling puck, but cant shot a puck well (I think he breaks 1 stick every 2 slapshots he takes). He is quick enough in own end, but is often out of position or defending thin air. He can make a nice pass from time to time but often air-mails pucks. He sometimes (often) seems baffled in own end and makes weak plays with puck up the boards and just lacks 'hockey IQ' for lack of a better term. dlbalr wrote a piece on Beaulieu and that Bergevin needs to soon make call on extending him or not and I think it would be a Emelin signing all over again, but I was never a big Beaulieu fan so am bit biased. Does anyone see him as a future 'core' top 4 guy; especially with likes of Sergachev (LH), Juulsen(RH) and to lesser extent Mete(LH), Bourque(LH) in the system? Or even Barberio (LH) who is only 3 yrs older than Nate the Great; plus Barberio had 10pts in 30gms for the Habs last year, while Beaulieu had 9pts in 64gms and with a bigger chuck of icetime.
  13. I wish Fucale was worth something, but he seems to be fading as a prospect. And supposedly Iginla has zero intention of moving anywhere before retiring, especially to the east. But Van Reimsdyke might look good in a Hab jersey.
  14. Did you just sprain your ankle jumping off the Habs bandwagon? But Montoya does seem to be a good impersonation of Condon...start out on fire for a few games and then one softie or more starts going through him.
  15. Matt Bradley had nice game 2g (11,12) 2a, 6g in last 3 games, 27pts in 21gms. Mete 1a, 19pts 19gms McNivan wins 2g 30 shots, 10-5-1, 2.36 .917 Hawkey loses 5g 35 shots 3-4-2 2.53 .894 Fucale wins 4g 33 shots 3-2-0 3.27 .878 (ECHL)
  16. Is Montoya gonna make it till end of season with the Habs?
  17. And they win in Shootout http://theahl.com/game-summary?game_id=1016103
  18. Ummmm, they are all small'ish' and other than Shaw wont be knocking anyone on their ass or winning a lot of board battles anytime soon. But kinda moot as Hudon has been called up and will see if he draws in and can chip in on offense.
  19. McNivan gets to try and shut down Addison & Sergachev today. See if Bourque has another 'quiet' game vs the Russians.
  20. Lehkonen, Reway, Shaw are all undersized as well, but agree is not a big deal, however it likely has played a part in him not getting a real look with the club yet, don't you think? Can only carry so many smallish players before it is a big deal. Sounded like Juulsen 'flattened' several opponents yesterday, he wasn't on scoreboard but had a physical game.
  21. Due you think Hudon should be seen as more an asset than actual prospect. Possibly due to his size and amount of small forwards already on Habs?
  22. 1st shift Juulsen tosses big hit, so must be feeling OK. Everett 15-2-3 and only given up 39g (Carter Hart 1.84 .930)
  23. Juulsen was run from behind in last game, stayed for couple shifts, missed a period came back before headed to dressing room after 4-0. He team beat up on Calgary and he missed out on some offense for sure...with 5 PP goals scored in the game. Should hear from Constantine soon if he is in tonight vs Blazers? Said he is good enough for warm ups but may not play.
