  1. I thought it has been shown, bridge deal was quite irrelevant or not a big deal to Subban's contract(s), pay now or save for couple years and pay more later? But, if it can be spun to reflect badly on Habs Mgmt am sure that is why it was brought up.
  2. I wonder how the UFA market is likely to be next spring for skilled scorers?
  3. I guess the Newfoundlanders already know team is leaving, so I suppose not a big deal.
  4. Hey, even a blind squirrel find a nut sooner or later. If not moving till next year, they wont announce the name for a long time yet will they?
  5. Turn your head into the upright position first, would help.
  6. If you say Stats one more time, just one more time...I'm gonna get infuriated! The world is flat...god damn it!
  7. For all this time I assumed it was Jack-Ass, who would of guessed!
  8. And yet seems that Stat Geeks are being hired and fired in very short order. "Thanks kid..thats all ya got! OK, we will take it from here."
  9. Sideways? Can you get any 2 different style players and personalities than these two? Needed Weber because team lacked a set of brass truck-nuts and was too soft, more goal scoring on the PP, less distractions off the ice, all players to buy into team play, mentor for young players, someone who didn't need a telegraphed John Daley-like wind up before shooting a puck, help for Pacioretty in leadership and one not do Savardian spinaramas as last man back, leaving the other 4 players to stand around trying to figure out what the superstar would do next...etc.
  10. Take off the PK coloured glasses and would see reality a bit clearer perhaps? Seems you like to portray Subban as a choir boy that could do no wrong and Mgmt as nothing but group of dim witted idiots, so again I toss out the heavily biased accusation card and simply cant take your opinion seriously, on this subject anyways.
  11. Pure guesswork is your speciality! The intangible is that Weber will make Beaulieu (obviously) and likely other young habs as well, feel a bit more confident out there. I think is fair to say that Weber's physical presence will be felt at both ends of rink and neutral zone as well. Pretty hard to hide a 235lber anywhere out there.
  12. They are by many, but how meaningful and a great tool for what is bit questionable?
  13. How bout this intangible: From a young Hab's point of view “Fighting … it’s leaving the game slowly,” the 23-year-old defenceman said. “But I’m not afraid to stick up for my teammates. I talked about it with Shea last night. We’re the type of guys that we believe teammates are family to us and we protect them. We were brought up the same way. If someone’s getting picked on, we do something about it. Especially if we get to play together, it’s something that we talked about. Fighting’s not a big part of the game anymore, but it’s good to know that we have a couple of guys that if something happens throughout the game, guys will take care of it.”
  14. Projected to get 28g 76pts, that would be darn sweet!
  15. Semantics! And most can spin em in either's favour. What you call intangible, others might actually put stock in and see Corsi as a mom's basement computer stats geek's creation and as important (and exciting) as knowing the difference between mean and median...for example. Hockey success is more an art wouldn't you say?
  16. Cant argue and all sounds good, only heard him mentioned a couple months ago by Chris Nilan and obviously you follow these guys fairly closely, so what do I know.
  17. "seems like vast majority' are busts, is that the proclamation you refer to? Do you actually dispute that statement? And I admit I haven't seem him play nor know anything about him and why I didn't say "he WILL be a bust' I said off the cuff that he "will likely be a bust'. Which a high % of the overhyped free agent kids are, no?
  18. So what don't you like about Muller & Waite? And what specifically don't you like about JJD coaching? What does a Florida team loaded with #1 picks have to do with Habs? Habs PP sucked before the Florida coach quit, so what has he proven since being a NHL coach? A monkey should be able to coach and win with the picks and youngsters they have had, no? Lets hear who you want to (realistically) see behind the bench.
  19. So a Beaulieu/McCarron/Scherbak mid-late 1st rounder quality player, and he would of stepped into top six in Nashville? Holy crap, they must be thin up front and that GM must be doing a poor job.
  20. I will help you out CC, not 10-15g/yr, it is 10.5g/season, but 0.66g/$million last year does kinda suck, especially given the PP time he had. Of course it isn't his job to score goals, but still.
  21. 'Vast majority', leaves wiggle room for odd duck. And I knew nothing of his actual play, other than hype and name.
  22. First bit was simple harmless cheap shots at Subban, just for fun but also facts. Did I mention Subban's name in hypothetical scenario? Wanted to know if 'key area' would include something like I noted and can you put a value on that or not? And the last bit was a valid question, the old adage mixing it up at practice is all good and happens...however Subban was always one of those involved, just a coincidence or he is overly competitive would explain it? Subban is a drug addict?, bit out of left field and you are on a roll and cheerful yet again today.
  23. Whoever made the list, did give disclaimer that viewings of these kids was near nil and to take ranking/list with grain of salt.
