  1. Excellent is a bit much, but has been pretty good and should only improve and he would not be the one I would have sitting. Will Lafleur allow Hudon to wear #10.
  2. Yes I agree was goof ups all round and as Pacioretty said he was on for 2 3rd period goals and took partial blame, which is good to hear (though should he of been at fault? I don't know at all?) Oh well, on to the next game, GHG!
  3. No, just watched goal again a couple times again and Galchenyuk had a step (or two) ahead of Marchand and simply coasted till was too late. Emelin lost his stick on the boards was why he was so out of position and Petry joined him, but if Galchenyuk had of been on the ball, would of been no pass out front to wide open Bruin and centres are responsible for defending down low, unlike wingers
  4. Marchand outworked Galchenyuk, who fell asleep at the wheel for that killer 3rd goal, he is still learning the position. Repeatedly whining about a guy who is on 73point pace, leads team with +10 and has 5pts in last 6gms is getting old. Now the guy who is drifting pucks over the crossbar from the point, past teammates heads and John Daley never had as big a wind up and telegraphed shot as he does. He plays 1/2 of every game, almost every second of the PP and has 1g might be more to whine about then Plekanec.
  5. 14-27 both 3 for 7 vs Bergeron on faceoffs Flynn is 3 for 3 vs him.
  6. Emelin with the fancy moves and deaked some Bruin d-man.
  7. Emelin 8:07? He has 5 hits already. he seems to play well vs Bruins.. Markov 6:32
  8. All 3 top centres basically even in icetime. Galchenyuk 5 of 9 on faceoffs (he won 3 of 7 vs best in league)
  9. Emelin leaves Connoly wide open then Gilbert makes dumb pass. Garbage goal but will take i :clap:t!
  10. Like Carr, Andrighetto scored on his 1st shot in NHL, but this year he is getting much more icetime and shooting more. 3 pts 12shots in 12gms 9:24toi/gm 3 pts 12shots in 7 gms 12:26 this year And possibly will get his most icetime today (but we all know Habs unlikely to end game with same 4 line combos) If he, Thomas (who has a nice shot) and Carr shoot the puck every chance they get, they should do well. Ovi and Pacioretty score often partly because they fire so many pucks on net and guys like Tarasenko (99shots) I think score more than a Galchenuk (52) partly because they have a more accurate shot (a ton more icetime also helps)
  11. Yes, kinda agree that if Price gets the odd game off to help stay healthy, why not give Markov a game off here and there and see if Habs can still win without him.
  12. Beaulieu has had some braincramps by trying "fancy" backhand passes which ended up being costly giveaways in own end, which may be a part of it.
  13. Just nice to see him called up after playing so well in AHL since turning pro. Even if he dosent dress he is a step closer to the big show and gets to sample Belle centre hot dogs while collecting a huge increase in pay.
  14. Sense of entitlement maybe? But, like Nygren he can be an offensive weapon and if would simply "lower" themselves and ride the bus in St.Johns for a while (no excuse now Nygren, with team out of scary Hamilton), they may find a spot on big team or another NHL team with room for them?
  15. I think Emelin & Gilbert have shown they don't mix well and likely why split them up. And to say "one should go" is a lot simplistic and both are experienced NHL-quality d-men who have shown that they can play 20+minutes if need be and can do 'fine', given the right partner (a la Komisarik & Markov). Gallagher must still be skating isn't he, just not with team I assume?
  16. Well I didn't think Galchenyuk would do well at faceoffs and defending, but he is doing just dandy. I also didn't think he could play close to 20minutes vs best centres and I hope he again surprises me and holds his own vs Bergeron (if matchup works out that way)
  17. Sorry to bring up ol #13 again CC, I know vast majority of HabFans are fond of him and his time with Habs, I will endeavour to not bring him up nor bash him anymore. But I still recall when he didn't come out after the end of intermission and was elated to hear later why. Was it a classy move by Gauthier, not at all but like Prust's spear of Marchand was dirty play for sure, still put a smile on my face and good for a chuckle. And likewise am simply glad Semin is out of picture now, he just seemed to have lost a step and 1/2, wouldn't use his best asset his shot and was very soft in every puck battle.
  18. Kinda surprising but he also was at Swede summer games, so hope he makes the cut.
  19. Rumour (or actual quote?) is that Iginla said he is not going anywhere (for family reasons) and will not waive no-trade nor go back to the east (more or less). But he seems the type of quality winger Habs might (should?) be seeking.
  20. No...Semin was suckiest of all, he was slower than Doug Murray, couldn't even stay on his skates and fell down more often than AK46, but disliked Squid more of course and funny that both wore #13. Maybe they should delete that number from further use.
  21. Nice! Obviously his ego is too big to play in AHL? not that he can even keep at to that speed anymore. Bergy took very little risk in signing and just glad the experiment is over, let the youth play (for now at least)! (Never got a fair shake, I hope you are f'in joking, the dude is totally washed up and is skating at beer-league speed)
  22. Emelin plays...but it is cribbage with Semin and Tinordi in pressbox.
