  1. Wouldn't mind seeing Byron get a few shifts on Eller-Galchenyuk line, not that Pelly didn't do well there last game.
  2. Maybe all the Semin-lovers should start a petition and forward it to Bergy, might get Semin reinserted into lineup?
  3. Yes same as in Carolina, who couldn't score at all and paid one Russian huge bucks...but had him eating hot dogs all season instead of actually playing, then they break the bank just to rid themselves of him. And you are correct Flynn isn't like him, Sabre coach was pissed Flynn was basically given away to Habs last year, in their McDavid push.
  4. Holy crap, pretty fancy GDT, well done sir and hope it helps kick off a new winning streak.
  5. Yes I would have more faith in waiving Semin to allow Holloway (or any of handful of IceCaps forwards) to be called up, but am sure Bergevin dosent want to look bad and cut Semin loose after only 10gms.
  6. Addison (8) scores and has 4pts in last 3 McNivan gives up 4g on 43shots in a loss, but is named 2nd star of game.
  7. I love 3 on 3 and hate shootout, so I am pleased with change and anything to lessen amount of shootouts (which I think almost got to 30% of games last year, or some stupid %).
  8. McCarron with 1g 1a, tied for 3rd in rookie scoring.
  9. Oh well, 5-2 loss. That Matt Murray seems like a good goalie (and they said he was goalie of year last year also). Not sure is Fucale a sieve today or might not had a chance on goals?
  10. Thomas (5) starts the comeback and McCarron get assist.
  11. Tom "the bomb" Kostopoulas is playing with Pens. Another Mike Keane I guess, who just loves to play.
  12. Seems many (all?) ex-NHLers have not so flattering comments about Semin. Like Ray Ferraro noted in Summer before Semin was signed by anyone and asked if Habs should sign him; 'He has ZERO compete." Jeff Oneill was called Semin-like in his compete and physical fitness-speed if he had to play 3-on-3; ONeill basically said "that is a low blow to be compared to Semin". Many agree Semin will almost assuredly get another shot, but no one has even had anything positive to say about his play or chance he can make any difference to Galchenyuk.
  13. 5-1 not for IceCaps 4g on 5 shots in 2nd period for Pens Fucale pulled after 4th g McCarron (6) PPG from Holloway-Barberio (McCarron tied for 5th in rookie scoring now)
  14. Don't forget the Cheerleaders!... and when are they coming to the Belle Centre? Need more big breasted women in skimpy uniforms prancing around! (Put a nice big fat Hooters logo on Hab Jerseys!)
  15. #1 d-pairing may work well. Pens are 7-1 only giving up 16g, should be a tough test.
  16. But which beer-league would be forced to take the Leafs?
  17. Good entertaining game, Habs had 37 shots and Sens blocked 23 others. Sweet PPG for Weise. Pacioretty & Plekanec managed to be -2, but that line also had 15 shots on Anderson.
  18. Go Habs Go! (only 1 Hab with 0 pts, can he get one today?)
  19. NHL teams average 10+ different d-men dressing/yr, so if can bide their time and wait for flu or injury they likely will get a crack...although Barberio is likely rising on depthchart and if Tinordi could be waived I would guess Barberio would be the LH d-man in the pressbox instead and he may be ahead of Tinordi right now?
  20. If Emelin wasn't playing top 4 minutes, I might see him sitting but coaches must like what he brings. So really Beaulieu seems only option to scratch for the big guy to draw in.
  21. You do realize the difference in pay cheque a player gets in press box vs AHL and isn't a bad living flying around N.A. practicing hockey and then relaxing in pressbox. Rotate em in eh? OK rotate Tinordi in and Beaulieu sits tonight...all happy with that move simply so Tinordi can play?
  22. Do we care more that Tinordi gets 'better', or that Habs win? And then question is...who gets scratched to allow him to play, Beaulieu or Emelin?
  23. Would be fitting for Canada's favourite hockey team I suppose.
  24. I think (hope) goon days are gone, big & slow d-men who cant handle puck at all don't stick around NHL for long anymore.
