  1. Above a Rene Bourque and below a Markov, I would agree with.
  2. Genius, never have gone quite that far, just not a moron and got few complaints. Its all good and do think they will squeak by Tampa in 6 or 7 and just hope is a good, fast, hard-hitting series. Drop the friggin puck already! Hockey shouldnt be played in f-in June, I even got my wedge-game in shape by then and is prime salmon season by then!
  3. And he has been hitting everything that moved lately, no he will never be a big puck rusher/passer, but never has been. And I just haven't noticed clueless play from him But, is all good if he lays the body on Tampa young rookies and pisses them off, as he does to the Bruins (and other teams) and is just too bad Cokehead-Malone is out, because Emelin used to hit him until he freaks out and takes dumb penalties.
  4. I thought he seems better lately and is a +8 since mid-March, so not horrible play, as he was in Dec-Jan when first came back.
  5. Therrien took crappy Pens team from out of playoffs, into playoffs 1st round loss, then loss in finals, then coached for 3/4 of that cup winning season and best team in NHL hasn't had a sniff of a cup finals since then? hmmmmm... Bylsma maybe not the upgrade you think he is?
  6. Could be correct, I just don't have as negative a view on team. Regular season success is based on 1 and only 1 stat, Points. You spoke of 2 losses and last ten of 7-2-1 is self explanatory (I know would be nice to win 10-0 heading into playoff but do you think realistic?). Especially given that they coasted through the last 3 scrimmages. You want to win more pretty games or something? Well, Habs don't have that kind of dominant roster, add another all-star forward and a bit more offence from bottom 9 and this team would be sitting where Bruins are. But, with Bourque, Eller, Galchenyuk, Briere, Gionta, Prust all having off-years, is quite something that the team did as well as did. So maybe Kudos to Therrien for juggling team as well as he has. Just how I see it, I know am in minority (and at far end of spectrum from habs rule on coaches), but I really have few worries about this team, cept hope they can minimize the damage done by Tampa's top 6 forwards and Salo-Hedman shots from point. I think Moan being out will hurt PK and defending a lead late in games.
  7. Could be, I say a rookie coach has f-all track record and couldnt say he is good/bad yet. I might agree with you in a couple years (if still in NHL). What is Therrien excellant at? His team kicked ass last 2 years.
  8. Where will de la Rose likely play in the fall? Windsor or Hamilton? With his size, he likely could handle AHL couldn't he? Although a year in CHL is likely smarter route?
  9. Ya Ya, heard same about last Tampa coach, Guy named Bouche, super duper coach.
  10. Zero chance. What kind of adaptation does a 100point team try? For what realistic reason? Because finishing season 7-2-1 is crappy or something? Right path might be what exactly?
  11. No big deal, lots of other good USA, Swedish, Canadian kids will be available in 20-30 range. And with his size Tuch will be grabbed earlier than should be I bet.
  12. Price has had best GAA & Save% of career this year, well done and bodes very well. Tampa isn't a big physical team (24th in hits), so I don't think hobbit-smurfishness will be an issue (other than Habs small forward skating circles around heavy footed Salo-Hedman-Brewer-Gudos group). And Habs bottom six depth I also like. I don't like d-core with neither Murray or Tinordi playing, need the grit around teams' MVP (Price).
  13. How would Budaj view Tokarski 2nd year being one-way deal? Must also give him some security over Mayer and Dubnyk.
  14. Super to see Carey get shutout after that solid effort.
  15. Nattinen scores (1st goal in 27 games) and 3-2 And Jack Nevins get 1a in his pro debut. Dumont & Courtnall 2 on1 and Dumont gets his 19th. 3-3 Well, off to OT again and a good comeback anyways. Surprise surprise..off to a Shootout. Mayer gives up 3 goals on 3 shots and toast. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1012184
  16. That's right Rene, stand back, do nothing, wouldn't want to break a fingernail or something.
  17. Well 2-1 start of 2nd on weird bounce for Mayer. Down 3-1 now.
  18. Seems lines were for 1st period were; Leblanc-Dumont-Courtnall Sorkin-Thomas-ANdrighetto Tarnasky-Nattinen-Nevins Holland-Crisp-MM
  19. No feeling needed, they have been passing on scoring chances for past 2 games, trying to get him his 40th. This game wont be much different. the Ranger dropped his gloves first when Subban did fly bye.
  20. Crisp from Andrighetto (I think) and dogs up 1-0 Not for long now 1-1
  21. Don't know if this game will be any better than last one. I doubt ticket buyers will get $ worth. Maybe Gallagher will get his 20th, Max get 40th and Price get a shutout; which would be great way to finish off season?
  22. Even as a 16 year old, he looked solid and seems a super all-round player, that would look darn good in a Hab jersey. But, I didn't think Shinkaruk would ever fall as far as he did last year, so who knows? (Maybe Timmins has asked Therrien to tank last few games to slide up draft a spot or 2?)
  23. Reway tweeted, all pumped that he officially will be at Slovakian camp for Worlds'. He is a shifty player, but still seems coastin/floating a lot without puck (in the few shifts I saw).
  24. Well, Malone drugs & DUI wont hurt Hab chances neither. He always seemed to too act like an overgrown teenager, so no surprise.
