  1. Sports Net (English tv) is not better what tv feed is everyone watching ?
  2. Draft is takin forever to start watching the TVA commentators ( French tv) kill time is cringe worthy... they are on mute now why is this on prime time?
  3. sorry, thought you meant Savard... I like DeAngelo even less
  4. But things have significantly changed since Savard as a 3rd pair RD behind Petry and Weber = sign him Savard as the 2nd pair RD = you got to be kidding
  5. He tends to be come undone when he plays too many minutes
  6. the list of available RDs is very short. There is Hamilton, then a bunch of overpaid or overachieving RDs like Barrie and Savard ... then it's off the cliff If the Habs cannot land either Hamilton or Barrie, I much rather they keep Merrill and Gustafsson
  7. Habs 4 years ago: Ryan Poehling 1st-25, 50% players drafted in this range have a 50% chance of becoming NHLers Josh Brook 2nd-56, 15% - still a prospect Joni Ikonen 2nd-58, 15% - bust, injuries Scott Walford 3rd-68, 10% - bust Cale Fleury 3rd-87, 10% - still too far down in depth chart even in SEA X 4th-118, TRADE: Jordie Benn to Canadiens for Greg Pateryn and this pick (#118-Markus Phillips) Jarret Tyszka 5th-149, <5% X 6th-180, TRADE: Traded Nikita Nesterov to Canadiens for Jonathan Racine (who?!) and this pick (#180-Cole Guttman) -> Nesterov walked and went to the KHL until he came back with the Flames in 2020 Cayden Primeau 7th-199, <5% and looking like a home run
  8. I really don't know, but based on what I've read, seen and heard, that is my best guess
  9. I am not an expert on this, and this time I have not checked @Commandant 's picks, just to not be to biased. Here is my imperfect, amateurish, wish list: Corson Ceulemans(RD) / Aleksi Heimosalmi(RD) if either is available at 31 on the second round, in whatever order: Zachary Bolduc(LC Scott Morrow(RD)) Jack Bar(RD) Ryan Ufko(RD) Ville Koivunen(LW) In later round, if they are available: Benjamin Gaudreau(G) Brandt Clarke(RD) Fabian Lysell(RW)
  10. couldn't agree more. just singing Barrie would be fine too. Edmundson - Petry Chiarot - Barrie Kulak - Romanov would be fine too
  11. I do not agree with you on this, he would not have signed those TV add deals if he was sensitive about media/fan pressure he has been very good on interviews and well spoken on open lines, for the most part he has always given straight answers and never shied away from the questions. At worst, he has snipped back and lost patience but still has answered the questions. === IMHO it is painkiller abuse after the wrist injury. He complained that he was not the same after that in a few interviews, and that is when he fell off
  12. some people can't let go of the past I am on camp Gallagher and overall on the Habs camp
  13. Gallagher has expressed his dislike for PK in media interviews that are probably still on-line. He has been very open about , here is a quick compilation: https://theathletic.com/237429/2018/02/11/basu-the-reason-behind-the-trade-that-will-never-die-finally-comes-to-light/ (9:48 minutes in): https://www.tsn.ca/radio/montreal-690/habs-lunch-gallagher-vs-subban-1.996431
  14. Is D.Hamilton like V. Lecavalier in that aspect?
  15. Drouin-Suzuki-Anderson/Caufield would be my 2nd line. Anderson (or Caufield) would get plenty of passes to snipe a goal. All on the line are fast. Suzuki has gained confidence in his shot and would be a threat. Drouin would a great complement to this line Drouin had an excellent wrist shot, before he injured his harm/wrist. He was never the same after that and IMHO may have fallen to substance abuse (pain killers) due to that injury
  16. that may be a smart move, we'll know it is the plan if they trade some of their extra assets for picks next year
  17. yes. I think the sound bite is MB saying "It was tough for Weber, he is a real hockey player and this is all he has know all his life"
  18. Don't trade him. The Habs were lacking controlled O-zone entries and he can replace a player like Tatar: getting about 50 points a season, but disapearing for stretches of time Habs can focus in getting a top RD to replace Weber. The team is almost intact from last season, except for Weber of course: Why trading for someone that may turn out to be as frustrating as Drouin when he i snot playing well? Specually since he seems to respond well to Dom ?!
  19. Drouin has never been a distraction with the Habs, like (for example) Domi became I am happy to read the good news
  20. If Weber is done, then Dougie Hamilton has to be "IT"
