Ok, let me state what I mean instead of reacting to other's: 1. This team is not perfect, not a sure bet to win the cup 2. With Suzuki and Kotkaniemi as top 9 centers, this team showed it could dominate any team for one game. 3. Before Gallagher's injury, with Staal and the expanded role for Perry, this team showed it could dominate any team for multiple games 4. Before Price's injury, this team was trending as having a rock solid tandem in goal === then the injuries hit === At this moment, the team is going through new churn in structure, line/pair combinations and player roles; despite that, it still shows promise "Going all in" in this context means, trading picks, high value prospects and good NHL players for a top-4 LD without destroying the team.

I was trying to be sarcastic on how those stats do not account for show Price playing much better, the team learning a new system and the power play coming back to respectability. The numbers do not show anything of the foundational transformation of the team and the improved pace and structure. I agree with @Prime Minister Koivu that MB is right to go all in

On Danault, they could ask him what contract would make him happy in BUF, offer a conditional second if he signs or sign Danault with the understanding he would be traded to BUg... the contract can be worked out if there is a fit but on the pieces value, I think it can work

Get a 2C at a discount that can stabilize the Center position, a very good prospect in Caufield to be part of their core and a shot at another good prospect to the rebuild plus sufficient cap room to lock any of their core or resign Danault or get another key piece for their lineup

Danault, Caufield and a 1st draft pick? that two past 1st rounders and another 1st

He is a very good second pairing D that can play 1st pair minutes and fill in for long stretches that role. He is a legit top 4 D on any team. That and the leadership he brings are more than sufficient to protect him and keep him, more than Scandella in STL, Luke Schenn in TBL, Jake Muzzin in TOR, etc. -
If Armia is healthy. I am worried that he may be a "COVID-long" case (having post-COVID symptoms that stay a long time). I would trade Lehkonen instead for Foligno to take his spot on the 4th line, and bump it up to a 2nd and 3rd in 2021 if CBJs retains 50% salary A Foligno that can score a dozen goals and provide a more gritty play than Lehkonen would be great for the playoffs. Next year, one of the prospects in Laval can take his spot.

CBJ’s Foligno rumoured you be on the market and Dregger saying he may fit in the Habs lineup

I missed the game how did the Poehling line play?
