Its so hard to tell, cause galchenyuk NEVER got top 6 wingers during all the time experimenting with him at C. Now heès playing with 2 other top 6 forwards and its producing. Do they want to break the most productive line we have had all season to put Chuck back at C right now? If you are fully into writing off the season as a lost cause, they should try something like Pacioretty - Chucky - Ghetto Eller - Plek - Gallagher But if you still think there is hope to go on a run for the playoffs... then you can't break the line. Hard for a coach and the players to give up hope until mathematically eliminated though as much as fans and management might want to embrace the tank.

Its rare but the way Ellis has played, he deserves at least a long look at Training camp. We have to remember he's just 23, two years younger than Greg Pateryn.

Could have, would have, should haves can work both ways.... They could have won other games that they lost with a little more scoring, or with the goalies coming up with another save. Some of the teams they lost to, like Toronto, Philly and others help though.

I think you move Plekanec and you are making a slight improvement in your top 6 but still have ultimately the same problem, the need for 2 more top 6 players. My hope would be you get Stamkos to fill one of the two holes you have.

MB offered more money but he choose Washington anyway. Beleskey... I never saw him as the solution, and I still don't like the contract he got from the Bruins. Chris stewart... file him under the Semin/Kassian pile. Anaheim took the gamble, he hasn't exactly paid off either. Who else were you gonna get. This year the pool is deeper, Stamkos, Staal, Backes, Hudler, Eriksson, Okposo, Ladd, Lucic, Perron, Boedker, Thats a much deeper group
