You gotta think with how long these guys are taking to announce their picks that there is tons of trade talk happening but nothing doing.

You guys are my eyes, ears, and - because I know little about the prospects available - my brain. To think, I go home to no satellite tv and dialup internet the day before the draft. I should have stayed in Toronto.

This is great news! Not because it's great for either team. No! This is good news for Habs fans! Finally! This should quell any "Bertuzzi to Montreal for *insert severe overpayment/underpayment/anything with Ribiero/Souray/Aebischer" rumours for some time!

I was houseleague all the way. Mostly a defensive defenseman all my life until I made the Select team and that coach decided to convert me to a winger. After that I had one spectacular offensive season as a d man again, and won Best Defenceman for my age group (which in houseleague is like being the smartest kid on the short bus.) All in all....I think I played about 12 years of hockey, won about 5 Most Sportsmanlike Awards, one "Unsung Hero" award, and the aforementioned Best Defenceman. Now I only play about once a year in a local tournament and try not to embarrass myself.

I miss Dowd, I would have liked him to have stayed a habs.

I wish no ill-will towards Theo and hope he has a great career. But not this year.

That will only be temporary though. Eventually he'll change it to a symbol.

If he were signed for 4-5 years, sure. I'd be concerned over the depth at D taking even more of a hit over the years, but I do believe he would be the piece that puts the Habs high in the standings every year he's with them. Losing four 25th (or so) overall picks doesn't concern me much.

I think at least one new body will be here, especially with Sundstrom, Bulis, and Streit all probably not coming back.

I found that overtime goal to be quite fitting to end the series... -Canes got a bounce, just like they had for the past 4 games. -Huet had to have no chance for it to go in, just like most of the goals for the past 4 games. -It was more the result of a habs ######-up than Carolina skill, much like most of the past 4 games. All of these added together leave me with a severe distaste in my mouth....there could have been more....I want more.

We also smell better.

Begin in, Kostitsyn in, Sundstrom out. Kostitsyn - Ribiero - Kovalev Higgins - Bulis - Ryder Perezhogin - Plekanec - Zednik Murray - Bonk - Begin No number one line, though Kovalev should get a lot of ice time. If Ribs proves incapable of playing competently again then try Bulis instead.

according to Team 990, Lapierre is going in instead. This is only if Begin cannot go in tonight.

Being that I don't want Bonk moving to the top line because it would effect his pk time, what if the lines were: Kostitsyn - Ribiero (*shudder* I know) - Kovalev Higgins - Bulis - Ryder Zednik - Plekanec - Perezhogin Murray - Bonk - Sundstrom I'd hate to screw with line chemistry too much, but this seems to work out assuming Kostitsyn takes his role and flourishes... *prays*

That last game took me by surprise. I hope the Habs can keep up the momentum. Coming home with a 2 - 0 lead in the series would be incredible.
